looks like its held on with phillips head screws but cant see how to get a screwdriver in that inch gap ???
You need to remove the rooflining first and then undo the nuts that are on the other side of the screws you can see.

the screws are welded to the roof hook, I replaced mine with a brand new one last week, its a pita job to do for something seemingly so small
As the guys have said its a big job in the end. I replaced my old targa strip with a new one just be xmas and at first i thought i would be a simple quick job but i reliesed it required a lot of parts to be removed to gain assess to the bolts that screwed to the bottom of the targa. follow this tech article to the letter and your be fine http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=technical&msg_id=873865 But once the job is done youll be very proud of yourself as i was when i did mine, your looking at about half an hour to get the targa strip off and vice versa putting it back on.
