For anyone who may be interested (and honestly, who wouldn't be ) there is the 1998 911 GT1 (the number 7 race car, not the road version) on display at Porsche Center Melbourne on Victora Pde. It is there along with around 3 other old Porsche race cars which have been there since before Christmas. The GT1 however, i think has only been there since Saturday because i didn't notice it on the bus home on Friday, but then saw it there last night. Anyway it would be a good chance for people to have a look at one of the greatest Porsches ever made, as it may be the only chance (outside of their Stuttgart museum) to see it in the flesh. I'll post some photos up later when i have some time.
Pictures... Don't suppose you've had time to get down and snap some photo's for me have you? Would be good to see. But what do you expect. I'm a porsche fan Sean

2007 Shannons Philip Island Classic When i asked about the race cars, the guy told me that they were previously in Adelaide for some event, and then they were shipped over here to appear at the 2007 Shannons Philip Island Classic in March (Fri 9th - Sun 11th). It would be a good weekend out for Porsche fans i reckon, there is supposed to be up to 100+ other road & race Porsches on track & on display during the weekend as well. Prices (when i checked) were Fri $10, Sat $20, Sun $30, Weekend $40, for those thinking of going.
