    Hey guys,

The quick story....lost licience and wont be able to drive for maybe a year or more. But when i get it back ill be on my Pz and wont be able to drive my TT.

I also want to go totally extreme on the zed, before i finish uni and work. After that i may get something more expensive like massarati etc.

    So heres my options:

    1. Keep my 1990 TT man 2+2 which has just hit 100,000km and had a engine rebuilt and everything working 100% but needs its 100km service. Keep it for dad to drive and do this up(over like 5-8years) and i cant drive it for probably next 4-5 years

2.Sell the zed and get another zed but a non turbo and do that up. When i get my licience back i can still drive it and when i can drive turbo ill put a TT engine in

    3. Sell zed and let dad buy any normal car and wait till im alright to drive and get one or till i am allowed to drive a TT

In terms of what i want to do with the zed is get around 300-400rwkw(i know thats heaps but i want to go extreme), Widebody with wheels and the whole show car package but being able to use it as semi-daily.

Btw i think i can get the zed sold for around the 14mark in great condition with leather seats and stock everything except the front bar nose piece and BOV and airfilter. Never boosted etc. Is that too much?

Also i can pick a black na zed in good condition with 94 model interior with A1 condition motor etc for around 6-7gran.

    anyways what should i do?

I'd say 1 too many points gone off his license. I was in the same boat worrying about going back onto my p's as I have been suspended for 6 months and will get it back when the new P laws are in, but I had enough points not to lose it totally.

But if it were me I would want to keep the zed, but the problem is when you are able to drive it again in a few years time it will be alot older (20 years some of them) and it might not feel like the same car anymore.

Focus more on your education(particularly Spelling, and Safe Driving), then follow up with a re-assessment of NA's in top condition for 6-7K.

    CAPITALIZATION PUNSHIMENT

Absolutely on the money as usual Chillster !!!! :D He also needs to learn about when to use capitals i.e

    CAPITALIZATION

Rule 1. Capitalize the first word of a quoted sentence.
Examples He said, "Treat her as you would your own daughter."

"Look out!" she screamed. "You almost ran into my child."

Rule 2. Capitalize a proper noun.
    Example Golden Gate Bridge

Rule 3. Capitalize a person's title when it precedes the name. Do not capitalize when the title is acting as a description following the name.
    Examples Chairperson Petrov

Ms. Petrov, the chairperson of the company, will address us at noon.

Rule 4. Capitalize when the person's title follows the name on the address or signature line.
    Examples Sincerely,

    Ms. Haines, Chairperson

Rule 5. Capitalize the titles of high-ranking government officials when used with or before their names. Do not capitalize the civil title if it is used instead of the name.
Examples The president will address Congress.

All senators are expected to attend.

The governors and lieutenant governors called for a special task force.

Governor Fortinbrass, Lieutenant Governor Poppins, Attorney General Dalloway, and Senators James and Twain will attend.

Rule 6. Capitalize any title when used as a direct address.
Example Will you take my temperature, Doctor?

Rule 7. Capitalize points of the compass only when they refer to specific regions.
Examples We have had three relatives visit from the South.

Go south three blocks and then turn left.

We live in the southeast section of town.
Southeast is just an adjective here describing section, so it should not be capitalized.

Rule 8. Capitalize titles of publications except for little words such as a, an, the, but, as, if, and, or, nor, when used internally. If these little words begin the title, capitalize them. Capitalize short verb forms such as Is, Are, and Be.
Examples The Day of the Jackal

    What Color Is Your Parachute?

    A Tale of Two Cities

Rule 9. Capitalize federal or state when used as part of an official agency name or in government documents where these terms represent an official name. If they are being used as general terms, you can use lower case letters.
Examples The state has evidence to the contrary.

    That is a federal offense.

The State Board of Equalization collects sales taxes.

We will visit three states during our summer vacation.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has been subject to much scrutiny and criticism lately.

Her business must comply with all county, state, and federal laws.

Rule 10. You may capitalize words such as department, bureau, and office if you have prepared your text in the following way:
Example The Bureau of Land Management (Bureau) has some jurisdiction over Indian lands. The Bureau is finding its administrative role to be challenging.

Rule 11. Do not capitalize names of seasons.
Example I love autumn colors and spring flowers.

Rule 12. Capitalize the first word of a salutation and the first word of a complimentary close.
    Examples Dear Ms. Mohamed:

    My dear Mr. Sanchez:

    Very truly yours,

Rule 13. Capitalize words derived from proper nouns.
Example I must take English and math.
English is capitalized because it comes from the proper noun England but math does not come from mathland.

Rule 14. Capitalize the names of specific course titles.
Example I must take history and Algebra 2.

Are you ready for the quiz?:D   :D

    I say concentrate on...

Your career 1st.Buy up real estate now (if you can)
Then in 10 yrs you can go get the latest model Z (wonder what theyll have in 10 yrs) and blow everyone away!
When I think about how much money I've blown on cars since I was 17...
It just really aint worth it.
Ok,I know we really LOVE it (hence why Ive spent big over the years)but if I could turn back time.....
Wouldve kept my 1st house ,used the equity to get two units in around 2001 then id say right now theyd do a drive by evaluation and hand me whatever I wanted for a car now.
Which would probably be a 350z Z with a vortech s/charger installed from mikes workshop for around 10k extra.
Its a long wait IBBI...but hell man..itd be worth it...and youd still be so young!
    Think about it dude...

If it were me i'd sell the car in a heartbeat.... they are only going to depreciate and if you still love the Zed when your finally allowed to drive one again, then you only stand to gain from picking one up at a much cheaper price. Bugger having a hunk of metal sitting in your old man's garage for 4-5 years , that my friend sounds like just the sort of temptation that you don't need right now.... good luck with the sale :D

agree with cherryz, i would sell the car. If you lose your licence for a year and then go back on your p's you wont be able to drive the TT anyway for what is it? 3 years? and that is once you get back on your p's. sell the car put the money in a savings account and let it get interest over those 4 years and then buy another zed if you like :D

    COMPOUND INTEREST

    $14,000 at 9 percent COMPOUND INTEREST over 4 yrs = $ 19,762.14

    Thats $5,762.14 not $500.00 ,

make the same mistake with your IQ cal and it might only total 10.2 :D

where do you see someone making 9% tax free?

where do you see someone making 9% tax free? ... more like 6%, then subtract tax, so about 4%.. A little over $2000 profit over 4 years.. still very worth having!

If you can invest it decently, you can make that much, especially over the last few years, a lot of my clients are making around 20% with some seeing higher returns

Well if you wont be able to drive it for 4 or 5 years i would seriously consider buying a nice N/A 5 speed and save your pennies for working a TT when you finally can drive a turbo again. Jeez i'm glad i'm finished with all that P-plater crap.............

Kinda goin off topic but... if you on your p's now and you loose your licence now for a year. And the new P plater laws come in soon in vic, does that mean when u get your licence bak you wont be able to drive a TT casue of the laws or will the old p plater laws apply, and will you have to have an extra year on your p's becuase u lost it for a year?

that's correct. if you do lose your license (cancelled not just suspended), and you have to retake the Ps test, the new rules will apply to the new license.

FYI. even with the current power to weight ratio rules, TTs are not P plate legal. due to 2+2 TT auto being just under the limit, they don't know these cars well enough to really enforce it.
