How about 2 on one side? I've had mine like this for about 4 years now and still haven't seen it on another Z :D

    Single Exhaust....

A single exhaust might actually be more efficient because it might help the gasses accelerate. I'm no expert but I know there's a lot to be considered in the way an exhaust system works. Pulses etc for instance. I have also read of single systems on V8's giving better performance than twin systems. You'll notice all performance motorbike exhaust systems are singles as well.

Very true for high compression non turbo cars

Generally for turbo cars the least amount of restriction the better, however I have had good results keeping the 2.25 inch test pipes of the split dump pipes then changes to 3 inch (track exhaust at the end of the gearbox and start of the tailshaft just before the cats) then travels along through the mandrel bends and out to the twin 3.5 inch Carbon Fibre cannons.
The idea behind the smaller test pipes is to help draw the air from the split pipe area, air pressure travels the path of least resistance and also from high pressure areas to low pressure areas this setup keeps flow going at all rpms and hopefully will alleviate high EGT recently experienced on the track, probably sounds a bit technical now but hopefully people will get the idea

I hate that huge bazooka that came with the car. HKS Super Dragger or something. As soon as I can source the rest of the bits for a new catback, that thing is coming off and getting sold. I can believe the previous owner payed close to $1,400 for that catback system....crazy!!

the hks super dragger catback was a really popular choice in japan, my zed also had it, i LOVE the sound it makes, and i LOVE the look.. the only thing i HATE is it's a single..

so i put my LOVE and my HATE and with those powers combined..
i now have TWIN HKS draggers :D:D:D:zlove: :zlove: :zlove:

and how does she sound? oh.. ohhhh.. ohhhhhhh... need to wipe myself off..

Well, I'm hoping that it will be popular with the younger Z owners who have a "thang" for that look when it comes time for me to sell it.

3" from dumps, huge mofo Vielside cannons, about 5 inch I think. Sounds brilliant, but not obnoxiously loud. And don't ask me why the cats are welded to the test pipes, it was like that when I bought it.
