I would like to get some nice white aftermarket gauges for my NA like the 300K ones for the TT models. Not sure if this has been asked before or they are available? Is there someone that can make them if we get enough orders? Or is it all too hard and they are simply not available?
hahaha not true.. miksta who has a NA has been sporting a BOOST Gauge for 5 months now (even though it only measures vacuum at the moment)
The guy i sold my vl turbo to had 3 boost gauges in an na vl haha. And a piece of stainless at the front that was supposed to look like an intercooler, that guy needed a turbo. Is there any point having a 300k speedo in an na? I mean it might get there... eventually
That's not what im after, I doubt I will be going 260+ anytime soon. I just want fluro or a fancy light up display.
led lights heres the blue led lights i fitted the other day, look fantastic, takes 5 mins to fit them and $20 :zlove: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/2pcs-T10-168...Z010QQcategoryZ102560QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem
I would just like a white dial cluster I would just like to have a cluster with white dials. Maybe one that went to about 240k instead of 180k. In reality you can't do 300k anywhere anyway. But our NA's would probably get closest in the long run anyway because your turbo will blow! We don't have that problem and get more life out of them and we have money left over from less repairs & maintenance, to spend on other toys!
I too would like a white NA speedo face as I you try and fit the TT one, there is no needle for the boost guage. Cheers Rob
If i'd gone NA I'd probably have a widebody kit on the car, interior retrim and standard set of NA performance mods... vs repairs to my stock TT!
just a thought.... is there anything physically where the stock boost gauge is in a NA cluster? like maybe we could put one in? not as a boost gauge but as a batt reading or oil temp gauge or something...
haha i knew this would come up Was curious who would post it up first Its called preparation Simmo! *hides in shell*
Nah theres nothing there. We have the oil pressure meter on the tacho but nothing under the speedo. What guage could be fitted there? I dont see how an NA needs a 300km/h speedo. Doesnt the differential limit us to 220 or something? And I like the 180k guage because its easy to read the speeds because of the large gaps between the speed increments. The increments are every 5km/h on the 180km'h guage. What are the increments on a 300km'h guage?
You can probably get to around 260km/h If the road was long enough and had the power to reach it. Then you would start to redline in 5th. Dont see much point in a 300 or 330km/h speedo. I wouldn't mind the white 2000spec 180km/h one though. At least your speedo needle can move!!
gauges... if its white gauges you want, I cant help you. But if you simply want a speedo that goes beyond 180km, then you can get an aus-spec speedo which will slot right in the j-spec cluster. The aus-spec one goes up to 260 which is more accurate than having a 300km speedo which an NA will never reach. I bought a 2nd hand aus-spec speedo from a forum member a few years back, put it in and it works fine. Cheers
you don't NEED 2000spec tail lights at $700 a set... but people still want them to improve the look of the car.... hmmmm I think i know where i can get some parts off other clusters... might see if I can put a batt gauge in or oil temp...
Haha, I told him to put a clock in there! nothing hotter than an analog clock sitting in a pillar pod! lets the passenger in the car to your right see the time as well......cool and helpful... Go lebo styley!
Yes that is perfect, where do I get one? That would be the perfect solution, do you know where to get one from now? Thanks!
well.... you could order from Nissan but I'd hate to discover how much they would charge... You're best bet is to buy one second hand or keep an eye out for an aus-spec wreck or half cut.... they do exist, you just have to find them. Cheers
Just buy a TT Z you N/A boy's and you'll get the 300k dash boost gauge and you WILL do over 240+ kph so it wont be so much of a dream
