I would like to extend an apology to anyone that has found any of my recent posts or signatures offensive. It was an attempt at some light hearted humour that, in retrospect, was fairly childish. So to those people that may have looked at my signature at work or whilst kids were around I offer my sincerest apology and can promise it won't happen again. I value my "acceptance" into this community and have made various friends (many of whom I haven't met) along the way. I apologise once again! Cheers, Will..

"respectably low key and inoffensive", by that I assume you mean sort of like reading a Stock Market Report. I respectfully suggest that to be offended, the reader must want to be offended(because everyone has a completely personal set of standards, and what offends one, does not of necessity offend another). Once this forum becomes a "Southern Baptist Prayer Meeting" there will be no need for bandwidth.(this is not an attempt at humour. That could be interpreted as being offensive.)
With respect . . . Soft-porn images need to be taken in context, and I submit that this forum is not the appropriate place for them, given that many use this forum in public places . . . work, home, etc. Whilst I DO enjoy a bit of lascivious imagery (WHEN IT SUITS ME) it can be embarassing sometimes to open a post you wish to show someone, only to have an inappropriate image right in your face (and theirs). (On the other hand, I would love to have my face in some of the images which appear on the forum.) AS to WANTING to be offended, it almost always comes to me as a surprise . . . "Oh! I didn't expect THAT!"
Nice thread ... appreciate the sentiments we all have to remember this is a public forum and prospective new members/zed owners can be quickly turned off by some of the crap happening ATM... When all said and done... this is a 300zx forum...
Dougie....Dougie....Dougie, I'm sure you didn't miss the fact that my post was somewhat "tongue-in-cheek". There is ample evidence that almost anything will be considered offensive(or in bad taste) by someone, somewhere, somehow. An example of this comment occured some few years ago, at a workplace I frequented, The Social Club at this workplace decided to hold a Blood Donation Drive amongst the employees (for the Red Cross Bloodbank Appeal) only to be served with a Court Order prohibiting any further actions of this nature. The reason for this was stated as being due to the fact that several employees were followers of a religious group who considered blood donation hugely offensive and un-Godly. Is it any wonder that "flame wars" start over the most inoffensive issues? All that you need to do when losing ground in a debate/argument, is claim to be offended.

I did note that you placed a few "smileys" in your post, but what REALLY caught my attention was the comment that "to be offended, the reader must want to be offended". I NEVER want to be offended, but I AM open to titillation.
Dougie me old Darlin', My comment that seems to be causing you some discomfort, is probably not being clearly understood. As we all set our own individual personal acceptance levels(standards), if one seems to be constantly offended, there are a couple of possibilities, 1: Everybody else is an insensitive oaf.(Possible, but improbable). 2: Our standards may be a tad too high to be realistic.(Possible and probable). Answers: 1: Move to another planet.(You are on the wrong one). 2: Adopt a more middle of the road attitude toward other peoples standards. (Saves re-location costs, and may just be a workable solution). Now, about you're lechery problem......:zlove::zlove::zlove:
Lechery? I don't have a problem with lechery! In fact I quite enjoy it. What I do have a problem with, however, is that it leads many people, especially nubile young women, to think of and refer to me as a "dirty-old-man", and that ageist attitude is quite hurtful!
and this 1 , i wouldnt call it porn since you can see this sort of thing walking down the street or at a beach, but yes i to missed out on what this is all about
i'm pretty sure those avatars fall into the "deemed offensive" category. I think like some people in the above posts have said, use common sense, it's a 300ZX forum and whilst i love to look at and admire a beautiful woman, there are other people we have to consider when posting here who can't look at images like these.
