    Have you brothers raced?

The GTO and the 300zx, which one has more rated rwkw? I'm guessing the 300 which that big ass intercooler in pic. Putting it to the test which one of you wins in the straight line and course type situations? Which one of you thinks your ride kicks ass over the other :D

I would say the GTO would have no chance straight line although it would be easier to launch due to awd, the zed would have mountains more rwkw than the GTO all wheel kw, track judging by comments on stock suspension and not strut braces i would say the zed still would win but it would be closer, but it all comes down to the driver aswel

Edit - oh yeah and welcome mate, its a nice ride, is there not GTO club or mitsubishi sports performace club or anything, i know our little community will be better anyways, i know there is a magna club but you dont really want to hang out with a bunch of family cars, not that im knocking them i have one parked in my driveway but anyway, a magna that is not a GTO

    hey nice ride..

not to be a smartass or anything.. but saying that the gto is better? come on.. i made 190rwkw with just a turbo back, fmic and pod.... stock boost what mods you got?

i have raced a few GTO's and it was a no-brainer for me

well my 300 has just been rebuilt so its still on the run-in tune with around 200rwkw, problem is im still running factory cats which are restricting it heaps and giving me lag. (soon to be fixed)

The other day we pulled out onto the highway and it was even until about 3/4th gear and it started boosting and was about to overtake when i hit 180kph.... and it was game over cause im still restricted

in the corners i dont know man, the GTO does like to stick to the road and you dont have to worry about the back end coming out.

Once i get the cats fixed and it tuned with more boost it will be no contest :D

all the GTO has is a filter and 3" exhaust, 160awkw is probably equal to around 190-200rwkw, and remember not all GTO's are turbo

    You could try www.EVOcrew.com mate - turbo'd mitsu's :D

The only other clubs i could join would be the mitsubishi club which is mainly magna's and lancer and mirage's and shit mitsu's.... NO GTO CLUBS

And yes the sydney people are a great bunch of people and i get along with everyone rather well and they seem to have accepted me into their group.
For people that dont know wat i have done to it.... It has a 3" turbo back mandrel bent exhaust with no cat and 2 straight thru mufflers at the rear end, K&N pod filter, below stock boost (8.7psi), and sits on GAB adj shox and rolls on 18" 2piece WORK rims.......

Plus it runs a similar engine to the 300 having a 3litre quad cam twin turbo V6 and with all wheel steer and every other option that a 300 has its very close in specs, only diff is its AWD :D
As far as KW's ATW's, my GTO has 159kw and my brothers 300 has 200kw, which is fine by me as i only have stock turbos stock intercoolers.
    And yes i love 300's too :D
    Any other questions ask away...

    hmmm

If the GTO has 159rwkw and the weights is more then a zed. I cant see how it will keep up with a 200rwkw lighter car?

I like the GTO but only 97" model which looks more modern and stylish even without a kit. My mate had one and got a 98' model for 60k.

There's more to having a fast car than some number you get off a dyno.

Torque curve, gear and diff ratios, traction etc. all come into it as well.

    Hi there GTOAzza,

    Nice ride mate!

I was looking at importing a GTO when I was looking at the 300ZX, BUT I had my heart set on the 300 so nothing could sway me. I do like the shape of the GTO - very nice lines.

All the best with your unique beast.

    Cheers, Kaz
