Plan on havin a few runs down the 1/4 over the weekend, and want your thoughts on boosting to 18 psi for the occasion. Some slight mods are as follows: High flow turbos, CES dumps, 2.5 exhaust, Pod, FMIC, Mines ECU, UD pully, LW flywheel. Cheers guys. Col
What are you talking about, the stock injectors are good for 250+ rwkw, many members here have done more than 250rwkw with the stockies in place, and with his mods "Front mount, Ecu and high flows" it shouldnt be a problem
pinging will be a problem if it is not tuned as long as there is enough fuel distribution to compensate the air flow he shouldn't experience issues.. Although 16 psi will probably be my recommendation. 18psi is boarder line where the turbo becomes inefficient due to heat. Just a thought...
Thanks for that Tezza, I must have missed those details. I've been running 18psi with 270+rwkw on stock injectors for several years.
Hi flowed turbo's... Depending on what hiflow option was taken, the turbo's themselves should be able to handle 18psi. Wow Llyod, that is impressive! I assume you have a FPR for this to be possible? I might have to speak to you further about your setup
Thanks guys, Hey chilli what ecu are you running and are you useing an AFC or somehting? And im not sure of the hi-flow option as it was all done when i bought the car Cheers, Col
I'm running a MicroTech LT12 with no O2's or AFM. Turbo's are hi-flowed and I have a Fuel Pressure Regulator set at 45psi, O2 Pod filter, 3" exhaust with hi-flow Cats and a BlitZ Electronic DSBC.
why dont u run different boost levels? one run with 16, one with 18... but i think 16 is heapsss enough, if it tuned for it, and everything is running like it should you should see the 12'z bracket...dont forget about traction mate...
The 271.9 rwkw was recorded before the Fuel Regulator was installed, I just added it for a little bit of insurance(too much is better than not quite enough).
