central 20 chip

hey guys a mate of mine has a central 20 ecu, we have no idea what this does or can do.. i've done a google search on it but turned up with nothing! We seem to have the same power at the moment - not sure if it can be tuned to cut sick would love to know

 

Not tunable, standard eprom edit.

Fuel maps/ timing etc.

 

Thanks, we did notice that it had been running a bit richer than mine... How does it help the car? interested to learn a bit more about it.

 

I don't have access to those particular maps but i'm assuming expanded maps for higher boost similar to the rest of them. Higher rev limit, different vtc cut off, etc.

Hey dude, My Z had the same chip, Central 20 are quite big in jappers, like a Z specialist, although Seems that they need a bit of a lesson

I was making 183kW with the 20 chip, and the graph looked like a set of stairs, after changing to a Haltec the car made 220kW at the same boost level and the curve was razor smooth, the chip isnt programmable either, not sure if it is because it just can't be done, or probably more likely to be because nowhere will have the necessary software or be able to understand the program anyway.

i recently had a central 20 chip aswell....i still have the bin file on my computer saved...the maps are very agressive...i would advise to get a re-mapp and tune....

Are you sure? I too had a central 20 chip installed. It was a little while back that I checked it and from memory the maps weren't all that far from stock, most locations being the same. This was for both fuel and ignition. It did have the usual rev limit raise, slight map expansion, vct switch and so on type mods.
