    Hi all,
Was great to meet you all at Petes place.
Thanks to Pete for his kind hospitality as well.
Don't ask me to remember all of your names lol...... Most of you will recognise the people and the cars in these pics I'm sure. Just click on a thumbnail if you would like to see a larger pic.
    Cheers Guys

    Wonderful.......

I can't believe you actually managed to get it up and running so soon. Well done :)

  4. Baroo

    Baroo TIMMAY!

    Well,

At 6 o'clock when I departed, Stu's zed still needed to have the front bar cut to fit around the front mount, rotors put back on and paint to dry on the calipers. Boost leak test seemed ok except for a couple of leaks.

Hope they got sorted though. Sure they will with the surgical hands of Wykked and co sorting out the various jobs required to get him home.

Finished up about 10pm after slaughtering half of my Front Bar to get it to fit over the FMIC, Fitted the Painted calipers, bled the brakes got home about 11 pm. Was a long day, alot to do, had to make a few compromises with parts that didnt fit so well. I think today was the start of a long journey :)

Thanks to all that came and helped out, especially Wykked and RedZedMikey for putting in a great effort till the end.

    red32 You talkin' to me?

Yet again, Jen and Pete made everyone feel most welcome.
Have to change the name from "Casa Wykked" to "Casa del Zed", with 6 Zeds in the driveway/garage and another twenty or so parked in the street.

It's amazing how Zeds seem to attract each other. My day started out leaving home with Baroo (2 Zeds), meeting Royszx on the Greensborough bypass (3), arriving at Tooronga Village for one more (4), leaving there (now 14) to meet up with the SE crew at the Stamford (up to 19 or was it 20) for the final leg to Wykkeds.

Average temperature for the previous tech day and this one - 29 degrees (45 last time and 13 this time, but I guess that's Melbourne for you).

Pete and Stu must have got off to an early start 'cause when we got there, Stu's car was already in an advanced state of "dishabile" - see Aussiephoto's pics.

Main focus of the day was the work being done to Silver-car (Stu's Zed), but some attention was paid to several others. There was an interesting exercise in step-by-step verbal instruction as Blipman explained to Maxszx the intricacies of removing the wheels from a car and replacing the brake pads... "Undo the nuts all the way, Max, or the wheel will drop down on them and make it impossible to get the socket back on." Did Max listen? Nah! Changing the pads was even more fun(?), with Tekky lending some brute force to get the pistons back inside the calipers. But it was great to see Max actually doing some work on his own car rather than enveigling others to do it for him.

How do you get the seized nuts off an upper suspension arm? Use an air gun with a grinder to reshape the nut until you can hammer (with a 7lb sledgehammer) a 1/2" socket over what's left and then undo it with a breaker-bar. Sounded awful.

Jedi-77 was kept busy with his you-beaut dB meter, testing everyones exhaust for noise compliance. Most seemed to be around the legal limit, with mine (Dredz) right on the legal 90dB. Even the stock systems seemed to come in between 85-89dB, so I was quite pleased with the result on mine.

Ben ran a little demo of the air suspension on his "pimp-mobile" (wide-body Celsior, see separate thread), with the ride height varying between "jams your fingers under the car", to "anyone for off-roading". Slow, but impressive. Brought to mind the old Citroen DS series with their hydropneumatic suspension, and no jack supplied with the car... drop it to the lowest height, lock the wheel to be removed then pump it up,,, the locked wheel comes off the ground to enable it to be changed.

I sloped off early, to collect a few more Zzzzzzzs, 'cause I had to work at midnight.

Great to see so many new faces, some on their first Zed day, and to catch up with the usual gang of idiots. Young George (son of Fradda) was in Zeventh heaven with so many cars... he seemed especially impressed the the script along the sides of the Wykked-mobile.

Zed floor mats for those that are interested in buying them. Had a look and placed my order today. Good stuff.

and now onto hanging shit on max....

    Max is a.............................tosser...:)

lets see how many cans we can fit up Max's arse.... sorry, I mean exhaust...:)

Max actually "doing" some work on his car for a change instead of getting someone else to do it.... probably cos he had Graham standing over his shoulder giving him orders and instructions...:)

Look ma, I dirtied my hands!!

This is why one one should never lower their guard when Max is around... in this case, the poor unsuspecting victim is Ben who is graciously checking Max's work.... infact, ben doesnt even know this pic existed until now....

yes, Max has many unhealthy and unnatural germs and diseases... I hope you showered and decontaminated afterwards Ben...

    We love ya maxy boy...:)

Big thanks to Pete and Jen for once again accepting all us clowns into his house...:)

    Cheers

    Clutch Longevity Tip.....

If you want a clutch to last, never let an auto zed driver, (James, AKA Zealous) drive home...

Next time I pick you up James, i'm driving lol

eww and i even thought of letting him drive my car last time!!
dont worry about your clutch too much mate.. his rugged good looks make up for any damage dealt to your clutch
