R.I.P PETER BROCK a fine driver,a fine aussie, irreplaceable, rest in peace brocky, bathurst will never be the same again
Of all the people you thought would go I did not think it would be him this soon. When the news came through about Steve Irwin, I just thought tough break, another famous person has died tragically but when I heard about PB, just a gut wrenching feeling came over me. For me personally, I don't think anyone could fill the shoes of of a man that made such an impact in Oz history through his racing career, charity work and the famous HDT line of Commodores which in their day were really supercars.
Why did you need to say that, was it nessacary, you just want attention dont you, dont you. Why would you were a holden jacket it has me stumped, you have one of the most beautiful cars ever made and yet you wear a jacket like that, i will never understand people like you
I've personally chatted with the man... Great bloke, down to earth... another true-blue gone. They both died doing what they loved. Not like the thousands who died on 9/11... let us not forget.
Rest of todays stages in Targa West have been cancelled. Im still waiting to hear if the rally continues tomorrow. Very big dark shadow has been cast on the event - and only in its second running.
im an official for targa west on sunday.. im still waiting to hear if it will continue i was watching silently when i was in the motorbike shop, an image from a helicopter filiming the crash scene.. the car isnt that messed up.. but he hit the tree dead square on the drivers door.. full chassis daytona and it was bent like a banana.. if youve seen the size of the RHS the chassis rails are made from.. youd know that he hit that tree hard.. be like hitting the ground after falling from a skyscraper..
Sad Day Been working all day and only just found out. Used to enjoy watching Brocky drive, arm out the window ,casual as. He will be missed.
CRICKEY WHATS GOIN ON!! Looks like we lost 2 cool people that helped shaped our land when i think of Peter brock... i think of my early days in the 70s and my bashed in Torana and until Steve Irwin came on the seen I never thought i would here the word crickey again i always thought it a dippy word when i use to hear it in the 60s... anyway my thoughts go out toall those that feelthe pain of losing someone close... Just hope this is not a case where things happen in 3s.......???? where ever you are guys (Stay cool)
A great loss to Australian Motor Sport. I consider myself lucky to have had the chance to not only meet the great man on several occasions, but to compete against him in the 01 GP Rally. Rest in peace Peter Perfect.
Daytona?????? .....was Peter in a Daytona Cobra, looks like it, hard to make out from the pic on msn nine Doesn't really look like a Daytona Ferrari?
The guy was an absolute legend and we have lost one of our most famous racing icons. Very very sad. The Gidgeganup stage was held on Obrien Road which is one of the WA cruise's favourite roads. It is a bloody dangerous road and at the last cruise there was an "off road excursion". No loss of life that time but Peter was not so lucky it seems. Heartfelt sympathies to Peter's family and freinds.
dr concise collins .. item 4 .. under "icon" would appear to cover, most adequately, the rather extraordinary life and times of peter brock and his contribution to the australian motor industry ..... yes, icon, in this situation, is most appropriate ..... requeiscat ......
R.I.P Peter Brock, very sad to end it after youve retired and only doing it for fun I assume: king of the hill alright cool driver thoughts go out to his family stay safe guys we are not imortal...:zlove: :zlove:
damn shame.... i like the quote on the newsw "the gentleman of racing" was talking to a guy at x speed over here and he said the last thing he said to brock this morning was....quote "you look like shit with a mullet" apparently he had abit of one coming out of the bottom of his beanie this morning...
