package advertised in the business section as "AUTOGAUGE DEFI-STYLE 3 GAUGE BUNDLE PACKAGE - $149"?. Autometer guages are a bit of a stretch ATM so maybe these are a good alternative.

What are they like? Did they fit in ok? Some one reported that they were having problems getting them to work properley a while ago, but I've heard nothing since.

I ended up removing mine and adding some ones without the tinting. I found it too hard to see needle (I had them on the A pillar).

I use the Splitfire brand gauges quite accurate and good looking come with indicator bulb covers to change the glow of the backlight. around $70 a peice and $200 something for the AF gauge. To fit the water temp gauge sender in the water pipe you need to tap the thread out slightly on the water pipe pretty easy to do. All electric gauges so saves on install space somewhat.

    sp(l)itfire and drift gauges ... views ..

was checking out gauges at autobarn today .. was a bit keen on some sexy drift gauges when the sales guy states that the two gauges they have most trouble with and most returned were sp(l)itfire and drift ...

apart from the positive from zx2nv, any other experience ..???

am also very interested in "option" which angrybear has in a great setup ..???

I have heard the same about splitfire although its usually third hand not from the sales guy. Be mindful of the fact that most people going into Autobahn etc are young kids on there P's etc and after the cool stuff. They buy it try to put it in, fuck it up and take it back to the store stating that it didnt work. The Splitfire wiring info is a little awkward as they reprint the same info for the different gauges but with slight variations so you do need at least a little electrical experience to put them in.

I have these gauges fitted - well

I have all 3 fitted and connected with light, but only the boost is connected to give a reading. I get HEAPS of comments on the gauges! They look awesome at night but smoked face are kinda hard to read during the day (when it's bright outside).

    I have the Autoguage pack

Actually have 4 - oil pressure, oil temp, water temp and boost. They look great at night, but can be difficult to read with bright sunlight shining on them. Have had lots of compliments on them and reckon for the price they're a good option.

boost up on top - plan to thread wires and hose straight down through dash

i have them, and i hate them

i reckon they look like shite

why don't you post a pic looking down on them, where you can see that they don't sit flush into the dash - you can see the front half (not half but maybe a third) of the gauge

mine lasted about 6 months then they stopped working

talked to just jap about warranty, they said i have to remove them and return them before i get the replacements - i explained that it would mean i have a hole in my water circuit and in my oil circuit until i have the new sender to install in there - the guy on the phone told me thats tough cos thats the deal

i'd rather take them out and leave an empty space there, and probably will do that this weekend

my advice is to get something which looks like it belongs there, and fits properly.. and more importantly, doesn't stop working

all 3 of mine failed, water temp first (that might have lasted about 4 months) then oil temp (lasted about 5 months) then oil pressure (was the last to go, about 6 months)

    shite

(i may be pretty blunt but i tell it like it is - from my perspective)

but actually i think it's really important to have aftermarket gauges on our cars, cos the stock ones are so useless

so unless you have a good alternative, then you might aswell get those gauges :(

I have these they look great at night

abit hard to read if sun glare on them. Had for over ayear now no probs (oil temp, boost and water temp). You definately need a aftermarket water temp with these cars (cooked one motor stock guage read normal to the end)

    Re: maTTz:

They're not meant to fit 'flush to the dash'. They have a lip/ring that stops them sliding through and that sits fine with mine in the angled guage holder. The only reason they would be sticking out that much is if you didn't install the brackets behind them or something behind the gauges was pushing them forward.

They certainly are not the absolute best guages out there, but for $150 they do a decent enough job and I reckon they look alright!

Also, I don't see how you could expect a refund without returning the faulty goods.

As with you, that's just my opinion...
