Hi all This si sort of a continuation from another post i had running, which ecu to pick. Anyway I have done some more research etc and concluded that I will stay with the unichip for the time being until I get the turbos etc etc etc as CRD claim the unichip is quite tuneable up to around 400kw. Has anyone heard of this type of figure before, as i understand the unichip works exactly like an apexi afc neo or similar and can basically trick the factory ECU in to doing something it otherwise would not normally do (piggyback style) the only main difference is you cannot do minor adjustments yourself it has to be on the dyno at CRD as they have the program and the gear which is okay for the moment. Does anyone use one of these? How much power does your car make etc? anyone have a users manual or similar or know of any links to good info on these items. Thanks
If the Unichip piggy back is only an interceptor, than you will need to rechip the factory ECU to allow for larger injectors also if you want 400KW. The only member I know running a Unichip on a TT is Pexzed.
Hmmm FIST told me that the unichip can have a global adjustment to accommodate for 555cc injectors but no larger. However, I will probably prefer to get my EPROM K value changed, and then fine tune with the unichip. So yes, either way, the unichip can handle 555cc injectors without any problem
I'm running a Unichip Just thought I'd throw that in..... running standard injectors and 14psi boost.... 210rwKw
Me too with similar RWKW and the unichip although since the last dyno, I have done the UDP and FMIC so who knows now
Whats everyones experience with max kw using stock injectors. The reason I ask is that most people are quoting figures of around 210rwkw and times in the high 12's low 13's. I am wondering if mine are stock or not as my car has posted 241.2rwkw on CRD's Dyno Dynamics Dyno, and this was before the following mods were done. split flange dump pipes remove cats and resonators fit straight through rear mufflers malpassi efi reg at 50psi line pressure FMIC twin turbosmart bov's in factory recirc positions Alloy Koyo race spec radiator Semi hard pipe kit Sort out some vacuum line issues and some other relatively minor adjustments here and there. I have booked the car in next week to have all this stuff tuned on the same dyno at CRD (they tune Unichip) and am very interested to see what the numbers are. I am worried that my car may run lean with these power figures.
