Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting a set of these... http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products_closeup.asp?part=&part_no=298 Just wondering what the correct tyre size would be to go with these rims? 235/40 sound right? Should i maybe go for the 18x8.5? Just came into some money and want to get off the zed stockies but now i'm looking into it i realise i know nothing about wheels/tyres and don't really have anyone else with zed knowledge to ask... cheers
18x8.5 front, 18x9.5 rear seems to be a common combo. these figures should have your wheels sitting flush with the wheel guards. i've tried 18x8.5 on the rear and the wheel looks 'pushed inwards' if you know what i mean. i'm no good with tyre figures, sorry.
Those tyre sizes seem right, the tyre shop are the best people to tell you this. Alot of people go for the staggered tyre size on the zed, I have 265 on the rear and 245 on the front. I haven't heard very many good things about Tmpe Tyres, so be warned. And suprisingly, although I've never dealt with this company, at least they use a reputable mag wheel, Lenso, although they are a new company and I've never dealt with them so don't know if they are any different to Tempe Tyres. They are doing all their 18in Lenso's for $1199 including tyres, as per the latest fast fours mag. There are some Lenso's quite similar to what you are looking at, I think they're are called Vienna.
