Is installing a GFB underdrive pulley a good start to increase acceleration at pre-boost rpm? I'm running about 12 - 13 psi boost and have pod filter and zorst mods done. My car has an auto tranny. What difference would a lighter underdrive pulley make in power and driveability? Any ideas welcome
Don't you dare start this Shi#..Fight...err..discussion again! Try Search, there's heaps of info there.
OOps.... Sorry guys. Search is my friend I didn't know you had a udp Rob. I guess there's a lot we don't know
adjustable cam gears worth tryng adjustable cam gers, particularly exhaust side.. i had them installed on my skyline when i upgraded to a bigger turbo, and the lag was as with the smaller turbo
Thanks Wazza. Looks like a udp is way up the list of mods. Expect a call K-zed in the not too distant future!
yeah gov udp made quite a difference, revs easyer, engine sounds a little bit more aggressive at higher revs now, wich is awesome!!
displacement increase... im sure its probly way over what you want to spend, but when it comes for low down torgue, there is no replacement for displacement sadly.... also i hear dump pipes improve low down response, try them maybe?
Yeah. Too many $$s to muck around with more exhaust mods. I like Baz's IUD idea. That would be one of those new 'Induction Under Duress' kits would it Baz? I think K-zed stocks them. Could I get up her more with one of those IUDs??
sure would, bob ..but the IUD is a pants down, internal fitting job... and yes, i reckon k-zed would sell them .. but only as a protective/insurance measure when fitting his 100kkm kits ..
JUN 3.2 l/t stroker kit Its only $15000K US..... HAHA ONLY RIGHT......!!!! Adjustable Cam gears (Ex) Under drive kits allows your car to rev better due to the lighter weight and different sized pulleys... Not necessarily more torque.
The only thing that really works is the exhaust cam adjustable gears. These are a must have for any engine ugrade.
how much do they cost, where is a good place to get them cheap, do they need to be tuned or something? etc give me the rundown dude
The Z32 does not have a heap of companies making Aftermarket parts for it like a skyline does. LAst I heard Tomei or Jun make these gear repalcements. On OZ300 forum UAS was running a GB for gears going back a bit. John has already got them on tyhe slot car exhaust and I am sure knows the best spot for them. If I remember correctly its retarded 2 degrees But I could be wrong. They are about $200 each and of course we need 2. I will have them on my engine rebuild. There is a lot of extra mid range torque available with tehse on as it increases exhaust gas scavaging from the combustion chamber at around 2000 to 4000 revs. Makes it harder to pass emissions though.
