In order for my car to become roadworthy, I need to replace the uni joints. Does anyone know how I can do this without replacing the whole tailshaft? Is there someone in the Ballarat/Melbourne area that does this? Any help/advice certainly appreciated! Thanks. zlove
uni joints A & L ( not anal ) in campsie nsw do them .. about $300.00 including new centre bearing . Maybe they can do an exchange unit for you . ph: (02) 9787 1622
Where are you? What model Zed? John @ CRESTA had a new one-piece f/s $395 to suit TT Auto. One-piece is the only way to go, around $500 normally, depending on location.
I'm in Ballarat, Victoria. I have a 1989 2+2 NA manual. I think I was in contact with Cresta on the old site and he said he didn't have one to suit my car.
salzzx ... uni joints k-zed .. i think that sal is getting her zed ready for sale .. so probably is looking for an economical fix to get the roadworthy .. is there any other cheaper way than doing the one piece tailshaft ..?? or is that the best option anyway ..?? probably a better selling point to have had the one piece installed..??
You have a good memory Black Baz! You're right, I am trying to sell it. I'm sort of looking for two options i guess. A cheap option if I have to fix it, and then a more expensive/better option to suggest to potential buyers who would obviously want the car to be spot on. Don't get me wrong, I want the car to be spot on too, but I can't justify spending $500+ myself for someone else's benefit! If I was keeping the car it would be a different story.

Didn't Graham aka Tektrader mannage to replace the original uni's?? I think he had to alter something? Vaguely remember a thread about that on the old forum... Maybe he can help?? Cheers, Will
I found a guy close by who used some bits off my old two pce. replaced the unis with holden 1 tonner ones and gave me back a one pce for $300 cash. works great. call me if you need more dteails Renee. 0402 657 236

fagg engineering ... yep, believe they specialise in rebores and ring replacement .. main office is on bokeback mounTain .... LOL...LOL..... owned, i understand, by butch assidy and the bum dance kid ....!!!
