    Hi all

I have a well looked after 1998 VT Commodore (7 seater) Acclaim Wagon auto, air, IRS, ABS, LSD, FE2 suspension with 15 x 7 pursuit rims + hubcaps w/ 90% tyres, 160 000kms service history VGC.

Looking to STRAIGHT SWAP for 300 ZX 2 + 2 non-turbo auto (prefer stock standard) - black, red or silver 1990 onwards.

Kids are grown so finally I can have my mid-life crisis and get a ZX!

I live NoR in Perth.I'm hoping that someone on the forum may be after a very good wagon for the family.

    Just PM me.

    NA 300 ZX for VT?

    Thanks for the PM Jeffd!

The car has been serviced every 5000kms. New pads replaced on front and rear.

Interior is excellent and well looked after. Only very minor shopping trolley dings to body.

No oil leaks etc and apart from Dark Tint there are no modifications - soley used as a family transport.

Also factory roof racks and cargo barrier included.

Simply looking for a straight trade no cash adjustment either way. Any mechanical inspection welcomed if required.

I was going to sell the VT and get a 300ZX so I thought someone on the forum might be in a similar situation and may want to swap because of an expanding family or change in their circumstances etc.

does any on actually take notice of the red book

i think they undervalue alot of cars , and car prices change very quickly like, th eorice of fuel has impacted on th big car prices massivly

I agree Redbook often seems very inaccurate

I think you have to take their supposed value with a grain of salt as from what I've seen many 'jap' cars are 3-5k under market price eg. 1994 180sx according to Redbook is around $9 000 from memory. They often sell privately for $14 000 though - go figure.

I've looked at REDBOOK, Glasses Guide, Unique Cars Guide etc over the years ....

I think a car is worth what a persons prepared to pay for it.

I've seen ZX's that are really rough and guys asking $14 teens and $15 teens yet on this forum you get guys selling really nice ZX's for $11's $12's .... Go figure?

All you can do is to see as many cars of a particular model you are after (private & dealer)and get a feel for price and quality thats on the market at any given time.

As I've said to a couple of people, check out some VT's, get a feel for the price and quality then compare it to mine.

If your happy great .... if not no problem at all.

    Additional info

For those that have asked for additional details - the color is tungsten (a light goldy brown) with contrasting Acclaim interior.

No modifications - FE2 suspension is factory option and I am the second owner and yes there are logbooks.

The additional 2 rear factory optioned seats can be removed as well. Seating capacity with these seats is seven.

No catch whatsoever looking for straight trade.
