    Hey guys,

Just got home. Damn 30 hours of traveling and 25 of that flying just to get home. Im going to sleep for ages I think. LA, Vegas and New York was great. Hardly saw any 300s at all though. 1 convertable was about it. Will post a couple of pics later when I sort them all. Got engaged in Vegas also :) Got about a million forum messages to catch up on. Did I miss anything good?

    Quick tour of my trip............(long)

Started in LA. I was quite suprised as it really wasnt what I was expecting. Everything is actually quite dirty looking compared to our cities. Still was great fun, heaps of shopping and spent the most time here (6 days). So much to do and see.

Here is the lambo I was talking about:

Did some sight seeing around including good old Rodeo Drive:

Checked out the beaches but way too cold. Was about 15-18 degrees while we were there. This is santa monica pier:

When night fell we were at the end of the pier and it was FREEZING with the wind so cold. Anyway there was a great little mexican place at the end where we got warm via some tequilla and crabs legs :) This is the pier at night coming back

Went and did the Universal studio tour. I think this was the best one we did and a must do in LA. Rides were all amazing, park is massive. Did the behind the lot tour and saw some old sets, including the current in use set of desperate housewives.

You might recognise this one from war of the worlds:

This is one of the exhibits were everything crashes around you and water comes pouring out:

Next day went down to Sea World in San Diego. Was great except the tour that took us from LA to San Diego was taking another group to Mexico. They got held at the border and were late 2 hours picking us up after the park had closed. We were wet and it again it was FREEZING. Got to see the great Shamu.

Heaps of other great shows also and plenty of sea animals. This girl got some height:

Talking of height, check out how high this dolphin gets:

Next went to Disneyland and california disney. Was ok but it was raining, then the roller coaster got shut down so probably not as good overall as the other parks.

    Then flew onto Las Vegas.

Stayed at the Bellagio, better known for its fountain displays (Oceans 11):

This is the view of Vegas at night from the restaraunt we got engaged in (Called Mix):

Did the grand canyon by helicopter:

Got stuck at Las Vagas airport for an extra day as we missed our morning flight. We arrived at 6.01 for a 6.45 flight and got told we couldnt board as the cutoff was 45 minutes :( I think they had actually just oversold all the seats as everything for the rest of that day was oversold. After 9 hours waiting on standby they eventually gave us tickets to cleveland then onto NY. During the break went to a great strip club and the fiance got so drunk on tequilla I never thought Id get her on the plane. Thats a whole nother story though.

NY I thought was the nicest place. Amazing skyline. Shopping was fantastic. Most things walking distance in Manhattan.

    Central park:

Empire state building at night (the view):

    Statue of liberty:

Museum of natural history (t-rex bones):

In the end I came back with about 7GB of photos so plenty more to see.

Id recommend all 3 places to visit to anyone who is going but 2 weeks is a minimum. We felt very rushed trying to see everything we wanted to. All in all fantastic place to visit. Pizza and burgers there btw leave ours for dead Im afraid.

A big congrats nathan....you two should be very happy together!

Seeing some of those photo's brings back some memories, my favourite being that we were removed from the bellagio at 5am in the morning as we walked in and tried to get a room after 10 hours of driving and wearing scabby clothing....was hilarious.

Can't wait to get back to the states, although I'll be giving LA a miss, once is enough for me.

    Nice work mate

Santa Monica Pier is freezing cold at night during Summer, was there about 7 months ago. Heaps of bums on the beach aswell.... Looks like you hit the major tourist spots, couldn't imagine doing it in that amount of time, everytime I go to the states I need at least 4 weeks to chill out and look around. If you go again, get up to San Francisco, awesome place!!!! I be back there in about 4 months to catch up with some mates in Florida.

Great pics by the way!! :)

    Congrats on of engagement Nathan.

I am heading off to the US in 3 weeks to do LA, grand canyon, Las vegas, Tijuana, SanDiego.

Seeing you have just come back. I was wondering if you could point out the bits on your trip where you wished you could have spent more time. Also what was worth missing!

We have 3 weeks over there.

    Thanks
