Quicky... has anyone installed the kick plates with the neon 300zx in them, in their car. I've done the kick plates but left the wiring as i ain't no sparky. Sure its not that hard, just a few wires to the door light button, but would love to hear from anyone who has already installed them. Thanks Adrian
RE: I have installed them..... What does the finished product look like? =) Post some pic's if you have them, id love to see what you have done, and if it looks good and all goes right with buying a z, ill do it too, and make you a fan club
I got it done too Looks very sweet, mine lights up blue neon "300zx", can't really take pics though camera doesn't seem to like it - just comes out as a blur, you really have to see em firs thand to get the full experience.
the installation is very easy And you dont even have to do any soldering. It should have come with some nifty clips etc. Pretty straight forward.
Yeah I installed mine, just tapped into the relay behind the passanger seat the one that clicks when you open and shut the doors.
Re: Yeah I installed mine, just tapped into the relay behind the passanger seat haha I've installed the kick panels too (which are technically side cills), and I havn't done the wiring either, mainly because i have to remove the back seat to get to the wiring...hmm - need an afternoon...I don't remember getting any handy clips though?
I can give you an electrical wiring tip RE: illumanted kick panels..>> Tip: Don't get too excited and decide to hold the bare wires in your hand whilst you test them out and then having to stand there sc'sc'sc'screaming at your girlfriend to p'p'p'push the d'd'd'door light button so the pain will stop.:embarrassed:
JEDI-77 - questions are just about wiring Where should i tap into etc... which bits should i unscrew, ie which panels should i take off to get to the wires i need etc... just wiring questions. AS FOR OTHER STUFF I got the plates from the UK... some guy got another guy to make the stainless steel kick plates then he sold them with either an ingraved 300zx symbol, or neon etc... search in GB could be handie and then e-mail him ?!?! Thanks Adrian
Got them from Smithy's Place in the UK, GB was done a while ago not cheap tho, over AU$300 for the pair.
Re: ok firstly, do you have a 2 seater or 2+2? Anyone that ordered from Smithy's Place has a converter making a slight buzzing noise? Not very loud but enough to piss you off.
