Mods - Dusty, Full Roll cage Cage, Slicks, Wheels, Big arse brakes, race Seats, harness, titanium exhaust, twin pods and chip, breather tanks, 260rwkw, Steve Millen spec computer - intercoolers - body kit etc etc, Much lightening and stripping has gone on. This is race car!. Engine has a head gasket gone at current time so is asking $10,000 as is or $25,000 with the engine overhauled. Bar this the car is ready to race. This car is the only car ever to clean run the Mount Black Targa stage. Remains unbeaten since 2001. If I wasnt buying a house it would be mine. Ahh........ .....yes it is I just checked. Is that 260kw accurate Matt, is seems a bit low for a race car? Or is the performance mainly due to high boost, lightened load and the gearing? What turbos and injectors are fitted, do you know? Thanks,
Thats 260rwkw which is a fair wack in a car that has been massively lightened, remember this was prepped for Targa regs and Impr production I believe. The gearing has been changed, shocks changed, massive breaks (6spot front, 4 spot rear, on big discs) and the chassis stiffened majorly by a full cage. Titanium exhaust also makes a massive load change. All Steve Millen Specs, computer, suspension etc etc I believe. Not sure on the injectors mate or the turbos. Alot of money has been pumped into this Zed I've been in it and it is very very tidy for a race car. My old mechanic took me for a run down the highway and damm does it fly!...from what I remember it handled like it was on rails with RE555 tyres and the throttle response was amazing...for 10k thats a good buy. This was about the time it competed in targa go so it was in prime running condition when I went for a lash. I think he told me more than 180 grand has been pumped into this car...alot of the work being chassis aswell.
Re: Yeah its the full sorted package from what I have seen of it! It's not 10 grand though it's been in the trading post for the last few weeks and it's advertised for $170000 and no mention of any mechanical problems. Rich
Maybe Jon done the head repairs since I saw it! He was talking about it when I saw him! He was saying that it had a poss. head damage, as it has overheated last meet. Maybe a stuff hose. If its repaired thats not a bad deal! If not ??????? Not sure.
