Yep! I handed over my credit card detail in May 2005 for a part I ordered and since then not one reply to any phone calls. Seems you must be one of the select few to get any service. cheers Geoff
hmmm well ive got mixed emotions on simon i guess. I have never delt with him, and he just lost 2000$ of my business as its all going to lindsay at Zshop booked in on tuesday for hitech + underdrive pulley (lets crac kthat 400hp+ mark hopefully!) I guess the only way to resolve this matter is to give simon a chance. Im sure he prob reads these forums as we all do and he see's people who say nasty things about him. Im still nutual though...Ill prob try get a frontbar or some 555 injektors from him to see if any good. Ill try phone not email! hope there is much <3 simon! dont let me down when im in need! My money needs to go somewhere...and lindsay always gets my mechanical work Just a parts supplier... and millions of dollars wouldnt hurt...:sick::sick::|:wacko::thumbsup::embarrassed::zlove::|:zlove::angry::thumbsdown::embarrassed::LOL::thumbsup: lol... sorry just clicked on a few of these then i got hooked on clicki clicki!
Has anyone spoken to SIMON requesting parallel ownership of the Site. I mean if I was to make any sort of auxiliary money from a passion then why would I let it go? To me its really bad business sense. Shit I'll look after the site for him and he can keep all the money... A site as informative and as resourceful as that should be kept afloat for as long as possible... Maybe someone should sit him at the round table and sort something out. Surely he can't be as dumb as a doornail and knock back business. My 2.5 cents. Terry
He obviously doesn't need the money.... I emailed him last week, as I'm sure many of you have, to see if he wanted to sell. No reply. Oh well, I'll spend my money doing something else.... I might try something different like selling oem and performance parts lol.
According to WYKKED , "Simon hasn't read the forum for years" See Thread lower down the page.:thumbsdown:Click Me
Well I'm not bothering with him again there are too many other good places to get stuff from. Ive spent thousands at TTZ and at first it was really good, but the last year or so I just have not been able to get hold of him. He even sent me some wrong injector seals once (about $45 worth) and I returned them, he e-mailed me saying he had recieved them and would put the money back into my credit card, but he never did. Several times i tried to chase it up but heard nothing. Sorry Simon, but you lost my business:thumbsdown:
just an interested observation ..... from this and the subsequent AADOOR thread, TTZ has a number of long outstanding refunds due to forum members ..... with member's requests for action consistently ignored .. and with little "outrage" expressed over this scenario ..... compare this with other and at least one concurrent post where the seller has attempted some sort of rip off .. an angry reaction tainted with outrage is the norm in these other cases ....is there some difference i am missing here ..??? :unsure:
i agree.. some of us have said our bit in the past, but some seem to get results from TTZ, personaly, I didn't get the results I was looking for so I'll go elsewhere in the future.. I reckon he should hand it over to somebody that gives a shit and sit back and cop some profits whilst the zed comunity gets good local results..
RE: Is there some difference? I guess there is a difference of sorts Baz, although it might not be seen as justified in some eyes. Simon has always been very helpful to us in the past, and this relatively sudden change in behaviour is a huge surprise to most. Add to that, the fact that he is also a friend to many of the people who dealt with him, and it starts to get a little difficult to tear him to pieces without incurring a counter-attack by ruffled feathered opponents.
Simon has always told everyone that it is a side business, and if you weren 't told I am sure another forum member has spoken about it or has read about it on the forum. His other business is about a million times more important than ttzed for those who don't know. I have always had good dealings with him, he will give you as much info as you want for free regarding the cars and parts etc but I must say, some warning or something should be put up on his site saying not to pay for stuff via credit or direct debit atm or something so that noobs don't just go and pay for something and have it not turn up. It doesn't matter if it was a $1 item, it is just a PITA to chase someone for things which should be simple to go about.
thanks, chili .. just hope that everything does get back to "as before" .. as it seems the site is a valuable zed resource ... my one and only attempt to order, some time ago, was simply a no response .. so will wait and hope that time will get things up and running again ..
just hope that everything does get back to "as before" Baz this relatively sudden change that chili speaks off has been going on for years, this isan't a recent mystic occurrence, nobody should be supprised! Search back if thats possible,i posted the same things members are saying now in 2002 only to be flamed by the same people who stand in his corner today, mates stand by each other, and thats how it should be. As far as things returning to the good old days, when were they?
simon well i dealt through simon in purchasing a 2000 front bar (non fiberglass) and it was great.. you just need to be persistent with him and dont screw him around umming and ahhing. if you want something, ring him, email him, and you WILL get a response somehow. he only started this business as a bit of a hobby and it has escalated into a busy organisation.. so dont be impatient. if you want the goods, you will get them
disagree - everytime i have ordered stuff it has been the same day pick up or next day. Even with my 100,000k kit. I guess not all of us have had the same experiences but if you get bad service from him, don't complain that you were never warned by others.
That wasn't the point i was trying to make.. More along the lines of proactively offering a service to forum and external members. Its a shame that a site such as his should be hung out to dry. It's a shame, but there is nothing we can do about it.
If he does'nt need the money.......... how about he hand the whole site and business over to aus300zx.com one member generously volounteers to run it and the profits go to the forum  We all get cheap prices and the forum benefits from some extra mulla
