I think you'll find he 'hung' on rather than 'locked' on

I don't believe theres any anotomical evidence that dogs can 'lock' their jaws. I searched but the best I could find was this:(Pitbull owner denies that they can lock their jaws) Which isnt exactly hard evidence.

If the dog had his jaws ripped out, then he was simply hanging on like hell and taken by surprise when the Husky rolled. My dog was a 'virtual' pitbull in all but name and was (unfortunately) aggressive on most other dogs, never bit a person in his whole 14 years but a real PITA with other dogs. I lost count of the ammount of scraps he got into. Usually other males when in camp on hunting trips. Strangely, dogs always co-operate very well when actually hunting.

He'd rush forward and grab a mouthful skin on their cheek or neck then get along side them (so they could not get to him) and just shake the living shit out of them. I heard a story that twisting their balls makes em let go and I actually tried it once. No luck. Water did it that time, we picked up both dogs (still attached together - ahem "locked on") and dunked them in the river. He let go after bubbles started coming up.

After learning that they let go instantly when you touch a cigarette to their nose (and being a smoker) thats how I'd always break up any future fights. They don't lock - they hold.

And pig dogs are referred to as "luggers" or "holders". Not "lockers"

If anyone can find a supposed 'lock jaw' dog that didn't let go after having a smoke touched to his nose, I say bullshit.
