ok ok this is a stupid question and only requires a quick answer. you'll probably laugh but i don blame ya. i've always wondered where you ZX owners put the targa roof when you take it off, is there space made for it in the boot or do do you leave it at home or something. thanks
Originally Came with 2 leather bags that you slip the each roof panel into, then a special 3 point sliding adjustment strap in the boot. Had the strap reattached as it should be and found the leather bags stuffed away in the spare wheel area... now its 1-2-3 and the targa's are in the boot, and always on hand if the weather sneeks in quickly No such thing as stupid questions, only stupid answers Well unless your on the skyline forum in which case there would probably be a lottttt of stupid questions like EG Why should i get a skyline over a Z hehe stupid question Or Can i put NOS in my brain so i have quicker reaction time, cause my skyline is fully sick quick??? BIG CHEERO TO MAR55... Love your car dude, now that the 300zx club got their hands on it, its got a real cooler in the front, not that shoe box they gave you:thumbsup:
do they slide around a lot on the back seat? or do they fit in the footwells and rest up against the bottom of the back seat?
Dont corner too quickly with targas on the backseats They will slide around and if quick enough will whack straight into the trim, damage and cut it and potentially damage the paint on the targas.
Re: Dont corner too quickly with targas on the backseats They do sit behind the seats without to much movement. If your cornering fast put them under the boot straps.
They don't slide around but i also dont take corners fast enough for that to be possible. I have never had an issue putting them there. the only reason i dont put them in the boot is because my sub takes up the space
My targas are a problem as I've got a 2 Seater and my sub box takes up pretty much the whole boot. When I take them out I can fit one under the rollcage which gets pinned behind the passenger's seat and the other sits ontop of the sub box. The second targa does roll around quite badly so theres definatly no silly business when the roof is off...
My sub takes up all the space in the boot too I didn't take a corner fast for them to slide around though, just caught a green light for a 90 degree turn that I just drove 'normally' through. Next time though i'll make use of the seat belts in the back
Any chance of changing the sub layout to get targa space? I personally would not compromise space to strap in the targas for anything. That must be some sub setup !!! Just my opinion. Cheers, Peter
i got a sub boxout in the boot, but it was boxed out as to allow the targas to slide underneath, i got pics if you need ideas.
sub/targa storage issues no dramas for the woo see!!!!!!hooraaaaaaay!:thumbsupriginal targa bags and all!!:zlove:
