Heya Jaybo Lucky you mate, its a brill place for a holiday. Iv'e been to NZ a few times and here are a few recommendations for the more sedate activities . Must do's Drive the alpine roads from Christchurch to the west coast then Haast to Wanaka. Make sure you have a look at Franz Josef Glacier and do a glacier walk if you can. Visit Queenstown and take a day trip to Milford sound or do a joy flight (I didnt as a mate said too many of em fall outa the sky). There's also a funky little place called Arrowtown which is an authentic gold mining town with lots of little cafe's and antique shops. Visit the Glow worm caves at Te Anau, they are much better than the ones in the North Island. You ride a little boat in the dark as the cave has a good size stream running through the middle of it Try and do's Visit Hamner springs thermal area and on the way by, stop and swim with the dolphins at Kaikoura (We did the whale watching but it wasnt as good as I had hoped and everyone we spoke to who swam with the dolphins thought it was awesome. There's literally 1000's of them there) Visit Dunedin and have a look at Lanarch Castle and have a walk around Dunedin at night, all the historic Victorian buildings are floodlit. Pretty cool We didnt get to go to the Northwest, but were told that it is a very beautiful place. I spose it gives us aplace to go next time :zlove: Cheers, Cletus
