    can it be done?

when my car was on the hoist today at the mechanics i saw some rust on the mufflers and other parts...

can it be repaired, i really dont want to change the system because its a trust exhausts system and i really love the way it sounds and i guess the brand name kinda tells me it must be good...

so can the system be repaired anyway???

plus i will be saving my self buying another exhaust system

You said rust on the various parts??

Does that mean just surface rust as that can be cleaned and primed and repainted.

But if it is rust holes then thats cancer and you only have limited time left to live:(:(

For small holes in the ehaust pipes you can use hose clamps to seal the leak....I have a few of those and for mufflers there is all sorts of repair kits. In the past I have made a patch out of light gauge tin plate and put some exhaust cement under it and then pop riveted it on. :):)
