    no they suck

    they are ok on QR but most other tracks like eastern creek, wakefield etc are harder on brakes.

    I think you might need R32 calipers as well because the rotors are 32mm....

    if you are going to the trouble of changing the rotor size why not go R34 and make the effort worthwhile.

    R32= 296 x 32mm
    R34= 324 x 30mm

    Most people go to R33 or R34

    Using an adapter so as the stock caliper fits the 324mm rotor.

    Plenty of kits out there

    From what i have read. IMHO the only GTR upgrade is to use Vspec GTR calipers and discs.

    The standard ones are not that much bigger to make it worth while.

    I am interested in comments on this as I need to do it as well. :thumbsup:

    Brakes on a zed are waaay too undersized for their weight!

    Brake upgrade

    I have install these(V-Spec GTR caplipers and discs), you still have to use adapters to get the calipers out far enough to fit over the discs. So far I am very happy with their performance.

    The disc rotors for R33 & R34 are the same but there does appear to be two calipers available. One being the Brembo, which is so horrendously overpriced on the second hand market that the NEW aftermarket big brake kits (wilwood etc) start to become a viable option.

    Would you be prepared to pay $2K for some second hand brakes that may be up to 8 years old ? :wacko:

    IMHO you go for the value upgrade of 324mm rotors with Z32 calipers (good bang for bucks) or if you've got some money burning a hole in your pocket (& intend on doing a lot of track work) then bite the bullet and drop some large on a Wilwood or Stoptech kit.

    The advantage of the a/m kits is that you get a total package of quality NEW components including SS lines and brake pads.

    Where can you get the v-spec calipers from? These are brembo...

    but I can't find them anywhere, and not for lack of looking.

    UP imports or something has a photo of them on their webpage, but it says "sold" underneath - I think they just keep them there to taunt me.

    here's a tutorial which also explains the rationale behind fitting the r32

    brakes.

    You just have to scunge around for them and sooner or later they will come up. I would ask on Skylines australia If I was you. :thumbsup:
