    g'day,
just got new rims on my car. they asked if i wanted lock nuts, i said no.
but been thinking now, do many people have these? are they worth it?
my rims aren't anything fancy, just a mediocre branded 5 spoke, my car is mainly kept in a garage. figured for me isn't really worth it.
just wondering if many people have them and reckon they are a must have?
they said (bob jane) that i can get a set for $35, that about right?
    cheers.

    i'd say they're worth it

they arn't expensive, and they are a good security measure. all my nuts are lock nuts, i've got 2 different set lol. just make sure you don't lose the key or it might be extremely painful when you get a flat tire or a cracked rim!

When I got my Z there was no key for the lock nuts. I took it to Bob Jane and they used a socket to remove the old ones. I got a new set as they are a simple, inexpensive deterent.

    lock nuts

Lock Nuts are One Thing that can save your rims,
Last Year i Found My old mans 2004 commodore up on bricks in our carport, sneaky bastards got the rims no worries, insurance covered it but what a pain. Moral of the story, if you wanna keep your rims get lock nuts because any1 with a set of sockets and a couple of mates could make off with yours, spend the 30 bucks on em its well worth it.
