it made its way onto my hdd despite my firewall and AV, spyware softwhere..
it gives you pop ups with porn, and has a constant bubble box telling you you're infected with a virus and sends you to a fake virus cleaner asking you pay for it.. just a way to make money the bastards.. this virus is the hardest thing ive ever had to get rid of on my pc, now im good.. real good.. and it took me 4 hours of trouble shooting and deleting numerous exe's and reg keys, i tried 7 different programs in safemode, i deleted 369 seperate keys, and in co-jucntion with 5 out of those 7 programs, when used in a row, along with manual editing and deleting.. and about 6 reboots.. i finally.. FINALLY.. killed that MOTHER #@##%@@!!!!!!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS, and if by any chance you do fall victom give me a yell

How did you get infected with this virus?

Was it via sites? or from some patch/crack etc?
Just want to ensure i can avoid it as much as possible.

    Thanks for the heads up!

just browsing, it would seem to be a backdoor trojan

it lets itself in, then hides and branches out into 4 different process's of which you cant end. and it stays in the system running in the background even if you delete it, it can also use windows system restore to bring itself bakck to life.. that i found out the hard way

It's a bitch to get rid of

I got it from looking at a free porn site, and it was a complete nightmare to get rid of. It took me about 4 hours to get rid of it aswell.

I even wrote to the company who's software site it redirects to, and they wrote me back saying that one of their vendors was illegally re-directing people to the site and had written the program, and that they were filing legal action against that vendor.

    It's a PITA!
