was a fairly good day was a little warm but not as hot as october 8th that was a shocker. the new motor held up well went fairly easy on it for the first 2 runs and got a best of 63.61 and a 63.87 then thought i would go hell for leather on the last one and got a 63.17 which i was happy with as it was only .29 of a second slower than my personal best which was done in the middle of winter maybe with a little more power. i however didnt get any video footage and im kicking myself as i passed 2 WRX's and a skyline let me go past. im keen how my times were compared to the rest of the field. there was a 350z there also he got a couple of high 62 - 62.8 i think he said.
surprise to me for the day was a first timer in another zed get a best of 64.49 on street tyres.
i got a couple of pics but arent tht crash hot should have used my canon camera for the pics today and not the pocket kodak.
well that's it from me for now.

some great lap times there AZA

couldn't make it today, bloody work.

would have been great to have come out.

next year I'll have my car ready, there are eleven SAS meets at QLD Raceway in 2006.

Hope you get itchy feet AZA and at least do a couple of sprint races.

    Cheers

yeh gavz was hoping you might have been able to drop out >

and yes i will get itchy feet but i have a couple of things i need to have done before doing another track day new rotors and upper control arms as a start plus i might wait till it gets abit cooler too first couple of months are the hottest ones of the year so abit harsh on the poor zed.

Re: what brand of brake pads

I used bendix ultimates all round and didn't get brake fade. I'd also recommend bleeding your brake fluid, get a brake brace and braided lines.

My brakes were smoking after my 3rd round and they did not fade.

Here is a few pics of my car on the track. The s2000 spun out after the 3rd pic but my father's camera won't take more than 3 quick shots before saving for 5 seconds :(
