I was looking through the suspension section regarding wheel alignment and came across the "Electronicaly adjustable suspension".

After a closer look at this section, I realised that my car has the Electronically adjustable suspension ctrl module!! all wired up and ready to go.

Question is, I don't have a button to choose any settings on the console.
This is weird, as the module is definately there on the passenger side rear. I can see it b/c the trim has been removed for repair and everything is exposed.

Does anyone have any information regarding this Electronically adjustable suspension. How it works. etc.. Is it supposed to be hooked up to the front shocks as well. The manual only covers the rear shock connections and nothing about connecting to the front shocks.

Any information or photos would be much appreciated.

this review of a US 95 model says "After several hours of traversing the countryside on a Michigan autumn color tour, driver and all passengers were afflicted with achy tailbones, probably because we kept alternating between the two settings on the adjustable shocks.":

i remember reading a US magazine article which talking about the two settings. there's a sports setting and a softer setting. yet to see a car which has it though. maybe it was introduced at the same time as electronic hicas? (just a guess)

    the US model got that..

there's a weird way to activate it though.. ah that's right it's hooked up to the hand brake, lifting it one notch goes to sports mode. Whether that's for transport purposes or what I don't know, too bad if you lift it too far while on the move. :)

    Lets clear up some misconceptions.......>>

The US-spec TTs got the adjustable suspension that was altered by a switch on the console. The NAs didn't get it. The Euro-spec cars got the rear shocks only, which are activated by lifting the handbrake to the first click. To the best of my knowledge no other cars had adjustable suspension as standard.

same as your mirror retraction switch...its just on the other side where the vacant spot for it is.

Thanks guys. Correction, I was looking @ the FPCU...

The diagram in the photo is not clear, especially after 12am
It appears that the unit sits in front of the FPCU.

Damn, all that excitement gone to waste.

But, after looking at the wiring diagram, this is a sinch to hook up.

But use of the handbrake to turn it on is a little silly.

I'm sure there are other means that can be used to activate it.
