just got a little 222w amp that will just be running speekers, no subs. Just thought i might be able to connect it to an existing power supply in the boot without having to run wires from the front of the car... Any idea/suggestions?

Cra-Z-Boy no nissan at all :(

would not be a good move at all:thumbsdown:you would be better off running

from the power wire to the antenna.
But I still think running a new wire for the amp is the best way to go:thumbsup:

You should run a direct cable from the batt with an inline fuse..

also means that if you upgrade your sound system later ie sub, you already have power at hand.

From memory it cost me about $20 for all the cable, fuse and fittings from jaycar. DON'T get a Autobahn pack, rip off.

If you want to have a look at mine let me know. also you only need a small ammount of earth wire as this can go straight onto the body somewere.

222 watts at 12 volts means you could theoretically draw 18.33 amps current through the wire, so you would probably burn out your fuse if you were cranking the stereo up.

Best to go straight from the battery with an inline fuse IMHO.

Does the amp have a remote wire?

    DONT DO IT

even a tiny tiny supercheap 40W amp will burn out small cabling like that.....just run some 8 Gauge.....its cheap and fairly thin... hey 0AWG is easy to run in a zed so 8 wont be a prob ;)
