gearboxes I had my TT 5 Speed fully rebuilt (new synchros, baulk rings, bearings, all steam cleaned etc and full of sunthetic oil) for $1700 including remove and refit. If your box is really fucked it's worth thinking about as most wreckers want $1200ish for a box IF you can find one... for another $500 i'd rather have one that I know is as good as new.
