I have managed to get a supply of connectors that are used on the engine wiring loom for a few functions.

They are way nicer than the Nissan ones as they have a positive locking ring that you can push to remove them without busting the connectors all the time.

So if you are having issues with busted or cruddy connectors or shitty cracked rubber boots on any of the devices I listed above. I have replacements.

Cost is $7.80 a connector plus postage.

    :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Are these a direct replacement without modding? Also are they inlusive of the plastic (or whatever it is) plug and the metal internals? Also do they come with the rubber boots?

They include all the parts, boots, casing, terminals

I should have them next week, so i will check the cases align up correctly. You may have to file off the polarizing block on the items but these will fit.

They are the BRP-1 conectors from the tech section.

I had to buy a heap so I thought I would pass on a bit of a saving.

Every single one of the connectors in my engine loom are rooted. Here I am wondering why it idles crap. I didnt want to pay the money for a new loom as I have just retaped most of mine.

My engine idles like a fuming pile of hot horse shit too!!!

I might have to go a the whole 6 injector connectors and however many are there for AAC (what does that stand for?). I am getting the car chipped this weekend with a JWT chip so I will see how that goes to fixing the idle, otherwise I'll be down for them, how much for the parts I mentioned plus postage to QLD?

There are the 6 injector plugs. I just checked and these plugs slide straight on. The temp sensor plug, and the AAV (idle air valve) up the back of the engine.

These plugs are in lots of other less critical spots as well, but its up to you how many you replace.

Those 8 should be enough I recon. Post is only like $5 the lot.

Are these connectors also present on the coil packs?

    Bump

Connectors have arrived. They look great. Similar to the one that is on the TPS. Easier to get off by hand than stock ones as well

Hey graham are you going to solder these or have you got a crimping tool

    to crimp those small connectors?

can you post pics of the injector connectors? does the male injector connector need to be modified for proper fitting? also pics of the temp sensor connector would be great.

    cheers

I just went and bought a crimping tool for these.

If anyone wants one as well I can supply em for $22.

The connectors could be soldered or crimped. I think crimping is better. But you could close them up with pliers and then solder.

I will post some pics later today and show how they fit on the injectors and the temp sensor.

I just tried them on the temp sensor and it fits without mods

It looks like these are a drop in fit for most if not all of the connectors.

    here are some pics.

This is the only tape to use if you are rewrapping the loom. Only get this brand.

Here is the kit of parts. Umm you get two pins

    Here is the crimping tool

here is the plug on the injector

    on the temp sensor

Here is the only spot you may have a problem. A lot of the Nissan connectors are the same but have this lug on them. You would have to file or carve it off to use these connectors. The plugs can still only be put on one way if you cut this off. Maybe just a "nissan" thing. The pict is from an AAC valve (idle adjust valve)

these connectors are much much easier to get off without breaking them than the Nissan ones. You push in the hoop and they just unplug. Very cool.

I am on the trail of the coil pack connectors now. So hold out for them. The connectors on the coil packs are the same as the O2 sensors

    cool

i have already changed the 6 injectors and temp sensor. I think there is a 2 connectors around the plenum and not just 1 acc. Well however many there is i'll get what i need off you. Can you crimp the single connector for me at the next tech day? Also probably end up getting the 02 sensors but wont put my name down til later stage.

always crimp and solder the connectors or you'll end up with more

problems. Crimping on its own suxs and doesn't provide a oxygen + moisture free zone and hence the connection will decay in a couple of years.

Put me down for 8 connectors please

Graham, can you please provide me with a total for 8 connectors + shipping to ACT 2615?

Email me or send me the details via pm, email: brightway@internode.on.net

I will be DD'ing to your account if you don't mind, and I would appreciate if you can send off tomorrow as I am planning on cleaning and replacing my connectors this weekend. I cleaned one last weekend and it nearly broke, so i will not risk breaking anymore choroded connectors without new ones.

    Thanks buddy

There are good and bad things about soldering

The good part is what you pointed out Chewy.

The bad part is that if you are in an environment that has a lot of vibration the solder wicks down the wire slightly and make a hard point in the wire which can then fatigue off.

    You can do either.
