i had to drive on a mates worn out dirt driveway, which caused the zx to bottom out and strip the starter motor wire bare (but not snap it) and i was 300ks from home,i had to roll start it. the starter will not do anything and there is a noise coming from the starter relay near the accellerater pedal (a clicking noise)when trying to start it.after roll starting it, it caused a vacuum line to come and run badly, fixing this, driving again i had turn on my headlights which cause the car to jolt, now the car is running roughly which is one problem and the other problem is the starting system. has anyone got any ideas on the problems i might have caused. i'm guessing the starter wire grounding out may have cause the computor to short out.

Sounds seriously like you need to get it looked at ASAP->

you could have a fire related episode next if your wiring is as bad as that.

Need more information about what's been done to car previously etc...

Someone might have done some bodgy work fitting a turbotimer/alarm etc (?) as the starter wiring is heavily insulated..

which state are you in... then we can direct you to the best solution

    thanks mate

as they say "if you own a zx, you need a second car" lol. anyway i dont own a second car, i have a wrecked zx that i use for parts. i,m about to change the starter wiring and the relay and see what happens there, really my main concern there is why did the car jolt when i turned the headlights on, but it hasnt done it since.
