Hi guys, after leaving auto salon 2day I noticed the anti-lock brake light had come on, I pulled over, turned the car off hopeing it was a glitch, but it came back on once started again and stayed on the whole ride home. I've never had this problem before and was wondering if anyone has experienced a similar issue and/or what it may be related to. Could it be the PTU?- I hate elctrical problems. Could anyone suggest a good place to get it checked out.

    thanks, Tom

check your brake fluid - that'll put the light on

Fixed the problem but don't know why?

I went to check the brake fluid as suggested, which was all fine, but when I got into the car (not running) I noticed a buzzing noise from behind the drivers seat in the panel where the rear strut bar would be installed. Even though the car was off something was still running, I disconnected the battery and re-connected and the buzzing stopped as did the anti-lock warning light. There's no doubt it was related, but what was causing that noise/warning light and should it be looked into?

    -cheers, Tom

The HICAS control unit is behind drivers seat & may have faulty relay.

Well the ABS control unit is behind the driver's seat

in the area described so I'd say that was what was making the noise (and it does buzz when engaging ABS or initializing). What exactly it was doing though I don't know.
