100K service Thanks Wykked.... I'm looking at getting a 100K service- would it work out cheaper if I organised getting the parts myself from TTZ? Any idea what I should expect to pay for 100K service? Thanks WT :thumbsup:
Ask them for 2 quotes......>> One if they supply the parts and one if you do. Take the cheeper option.
im from adel... and ive mainly only been to Unley Nissan. They've been ok but i have heard good/great reports about morpowa and another place ive been to that are good are a place called turbo tune on south rd edwardstown opposite hungry jacks - reasonbly priced and know imports. goodluck. as for the 100k service, let me know how you go with quotes against prices from ttzed. gus
Im Form Adel... hey bro hurry up and get your Zed!! :LOL: I cant speak for all, but i rekon we all have our own private mechanics do the work - just simply because u can get Seriously ripped off bad with these cars. Its because there so unique most mechanics dont know where to start unless its a commodore or falcon!! So if u dont have a mechanic u trust go see mine, John Moyl Motor Engineering & Duno. 8269 6067. ask for Rocco. (Enfield) They have decades of Engineering Experience. They can do simple tasks rite up to OverBoring your 500Hp Block / Head flowing. The other place i reccomend for Tuning is S & B Auto Electrical ph: 82619066 (North East) ask for Bryan. These blokes are great ive seen them convert a stock lancer into a Full Evo Spec.. Try that Wiring loom!! The only business that is Zed only is "The Zed Garage" Down south. NA Spending on the service? I've called a couple of places- haven't called John Moyl Motor Engineering yet, but rang Unley Nissan and, while they weren't happy about servicing it, they'd do it for roughly $700-800 bucks including parts. So I'm a bit sceptical as to exactly what they'd be doing. (After looking at the 100KM service kits at TTZ I'm expecting it to cost a bit more). I was thinking for the NA that it'd be a bit more like $1K
Theres a wiked N/A near the airport Plate NZX-300 Its a blue slick top wild 17" lowered leather kit exhaust all done properly.. he got it ages ago for like 25k :wacko::wacko: the guy just got married poor bloke! :LOL: he must sell! when i saw it 3 months ago it was 17,500 but now its like 14 /15k... deffinatly worth a look mate... im still into the market even though ive had mine for about 3 months... I got an aussie spec (na 2+2) :zlove: cheaper to insure than the import and less problems.. i have seen 1 aussie spec for 10k in the tradingpost.com!! If u really want an N.a i reccomend an aussie spec cos u get a better car but they cost a bit more but u get that back on insurance savings.. which can pay for sercice , tyres ect
NA vs TT Thanks for the tip I'm not ruling out a TT at this stage- just seen a few good NA 2 seater's around (I'm mainly interested in the 2 seater Targa Tops). Waiting to see how an Inspection goes on a J-Spec NA in Sydney. If I was gonna go a Slicktop, I'd probably make J4Play an offer on his slick top TT! :thumbsup: But I've kinda decided I want the Targa, and a 2 seater. Do you have that guys number out near the airport? Is it aus-spec or j-spec?
His is a J-Spec NA... but its done up noice... iF U HAVE 17 K THERES A GUNMETAL TT HERE WIKED COND 5 SPD TARGA WITH A BIG STEREO... THE NICEST FOR SALE IVE SEEN... if u want to bugger around with compliance ect see yahoo motorsport at Royal park www.yahoomotorsport.com.. John Verban hes got a Black NA 2+2 targa uncomplied for 5k... theres a project car... most ppl who went that way are sellen them registered for 10... (u can tell by the new X plates) get it for 5-7k off the boat, complied for another 1500 tops... and advertise for 10-11... but do ya homework mate... it seem hard to believe u can get 1 car for 10k and some adv for 17k but the 17k TT are as good or better than new rexes so that the effecteve comparison... the TT i saw on the weekend.. in the tradingpost.. i would buy ova a rex any day... and if i added up what a 14k TT would cost i would spend over 17k overall to get it in top nic... 300's are easy to neglect so the high priced 300's arent always a jip.... my tip is go private .. i dont trust yards with 300's.

Nissan dealers are expensive! I coped a fair cost when I had work done at Unley Nissan. That said, they seemed to have done a good job. Another place south of town is RPM Performance (also near castle plaze), but I haven't been there since a new owner took over. I'd be using Morpowa if I was out north.
