i've been having big problems with the fuel over the last 2 weeks or more.

when the car is idling the car revs from 1000 up to 2000rpm.

now the car won't start at all, it sounds like it doesn't want to kick over..

i've changed the fuel filter about 3000kms ago and only just had all the injectors cleaned..

does anyone have any ideas on what this could be, i need some serious help...

plus it sounds like the fuel pump is making like a humming noise? is this a stuffed fuel pump?

    cheers stretch

Does it turn over and not start or just not start. If you look at a few of my recent posts I had the same problem. It's all working well now and seems to have been a fautly temp sensor circuit - it had corroded terminals.

See the tech section for how to do an engine diagnostic. I got error code 13 which is faulty temp sensor circuit. Now I don't know if that's enough to stop the car from starting but I cleaned my terminals and now she's going really well.

    Engine Diagnostic Procedure

If you look at the image below the left hand green arrow is pointing to the temp sesor. That was all I cleaned (with a tiny scraper) to fix mine.

is ur fuel pump sposed to be audible?

after you said ur pump is humming, made me question, should mine be audible from the back of the car? As well as turning the ignition to on position and after turning the engine off theres a pretty decent buzzin noise for a sec... Am i sposed to hear that?

Usually thats the fuel pump pressurising the system. It's normal :)

    fuel problem sorted i think

i got a mechanic to look at it, turned out the people that i payed to service my car ripped me off and didn't put in the new spark plugs. the spark plugs were old and flooded and couldn't spark. the smell of fuel was the engine flooded..

apparently the fuel pump was making the noise cause it was feeding to much fuel when it tried to kick itself over..

should be all fixed soon, i'm getting all new spark plugs and then i'll write up how it went..
    cheers stretch
