    Hi there

I have a Vision car alarm installed in the Z, and recently changed the battery in my car, but now my remotes wont work the alarm.

Its not a power issue have ensured the alarm is getting power, once disconnected and reconnected I get a series of 5 flashes from the indicators, but remotes do nada.

Car will still start so alarm is not engaged.

    Anyone got any tips?

    Regards

    Mark

this may sound a little dumb

but have you changed your battery in the actual remote? maybe coincidence that the remote battery was on the way out...

    wish that was it,

two different remotes, that suddenly died at the same time so no its not the battery in the remotes.

I suspect the remotes need to be recoded to the alarm or something like that.

    Regards

    Re: wish that was it,

    Hi

There is probably a procedure to pair up the remotes with the receiver unit in the car (similar if you want to add a third or forth remote.

I think for mine it is something like turn the ignition between "ACC" and "ON" a certain number of times, and then hold down the large remote button for 4 seconds, and that sets that remote to work that particular car.

This is probably no help to you directly, but it is likely to be something simple like that, or at least I hope so.

    Good luck anyway.

Why not do a Internet Search using "vision" & "alarm" and

then try and find an agent in your area who can give you the run-down on the alarm? That's what I would try anyway.

Re: Car alarm problem in the Z.... you could try

earthing the alarm with the wire that disconnects it for garage repairs etc (if it has such a wire) then going thru the procedure to reset your alarm, which should be with the instructions,
    good luck!!
