    G'day everyone,
my Zed is holding first gear way too long. When taking off with very light throttle the car is revving upto 6rpm before changing to second. Yes, overdrive is on. It's pissing me off as I have just had the gearbox serviced.
What could be causing this? Has anyone else had this happen?
    Cheers,
    Jono

    Start by checking.....>>

Your TPS is adjusted properly and the contacts are clean.

    i had the same problem

mine did the same thing but get it checked straight away not like me and wait untill it dosnt change gears.
check that there is enough tranmission fluid thats wat happend 2 mine and thrashin it 2 much with out AT fluid in the gearbox will F$%k it up so i had to get a new gearbox it started off takin a long time to change gear like u said then not changing at all when they check the pan under the gearbox make sure that theres no shreaded metal in it or your looking at a rebuild or a second hand gearbox.

    try running your self diagnostics.

    also refer at-93 to at-95.

    Thanks mate, but...

I doubt its the fluid level as I just had it changed/flushed this morning!!!

    If it worked fine......>>

Before the service I would be going straight back to the place that did it and speaking to them.

No, it was doing it the day before.

That's one of the reasons I had the box serviced. So atleast I know its not fluid level. I haven't had a chance to drive it again today as I'm still at work. I will look at the TPS and do a self diagnostics tomorrow.

    I had this problem also

I took it to Australian Automatics in Bundaberg and the mechanic said to adjust the TPS. Yes, it does change the shift point, and it worked well, but I should have to fudge the TPS. Not long ago, I put in a new ECU, and the shift points are now like they should be. May be a ECU problem as It's fine now...

    Looks like I need a re-build!!! :(
I just want to enjoy this car. I'm really getting over having a different & expensive problem each week.
I had a big weekend planned (road trip), not anymore!!!
