Nissan 300ZX 1991 Black, Coupe 5sp Manual, 90000kms, air con, power steering, power windows, power mirrors, alloy wheels, quick twin turbo sports, #1686 $16999.00 Shaw Value 149-151 Ferry Road Southport Ph 5591 6466 Hi all, I checked this out on two occassions and am seriously considering purchasing it. The only issues with it are slightly cracked leather seats, some small chips (which the guy insisted would get fixed up and detailed upon purchase). The two intake pipes used to have BOVs on them, but were stolen so they've taped it up in tape (again, he insisted that, in order to legally sell it, he'd have to replace them upon sale). There was a tiny amount of metal discoloration in the small frame around the gearstick that holds the gearboot down. This discoloration was also in the thin metal frame behind the place where the OEM radio is). If there're any members who could check it out (it's on the Coast, in Southport) and give their opinion, that'd be absolutely wonderful. Hell, if anyone could come along and check it out with me, it'd be even better (talk down the price with your knowledge, haha). Cheers and thanks in advance
I rember seeing that one when i was looking for a Z about 6 mths ago. I never got down to see it though, at i live in brisbane. Hope it all works out for you. And welcome to the world or Zeeding im sure there are a few members on the coast that could help you out.
300zx check my 300 out, i think its a better deal.. im in melb http://aus300zx.neuralmotion.com.au/index.cfm?action=view&type=topic&topicid=232915
So do I...I saw it over 6 months ago The caryard owner was an absolute wanker who despised the zed and me for asking about it. When asked if he had a 2+2 instead, he literally walked off muttering something to himself... What a tosser... And now here he is trying to sell it all this time later... My two cents: Stay away from this one and put your money into the pocket of someone who deserves it. The car itself was nothing special for $17K and the fact it's still F/S all this time later proves it's overpriced... You'll do much better elsewhere...
Bris 300z Im sellin my 5sp man TT 2+2 in Brissy and its better value than that if u interested. email me
The guy just wants your deposit so then you cant back down. I have heard heaps of people getting screwed upon fixing things they said they would get done but didnt end up doing them properly or not at all. Take a pass
Been for sale for while ... I saw this one advertised in June when I bought my Zed .. either they are using the same picture for multiple cars or there may be issues .... definately get someone to check it with you ... and Talk them down in price cause they have had it so long...
If it checks out Offer him 9K. If its been in the yard that long he will really be wanting to get rid of it.
 Don't touch it! Not even @ half the price ..... Undoubtedly the very worst Zed I've laid eyes on. I value it circa $5k ... wouldn't want it myself, at any price.
Re:  Don't touch it! Not even @ half the price ..... Thanks for all the responses guys, you seem like an awesome club. Heya, I'm in QLD, so sorry good luck with your sale though! I'm in Brisbane as well, but took the drive up there anyways to check it out. When I rung up, he offered $15k without me even suggesting it. Was the car yard guy a young guy called Steve I think? He seemed genuinely nice enough, but then again, you can never trust dealers ;p The only attraction I liked on this car was the fact that they were giving free rego, stamp duty and 1 year warranty, extendable to 3 years @ $600. Any other issues with it you noticed? I eventually talked it "down" to $14k, but he didn't offer enough for my current car to warrant trading in. So I'm selling my current car privately (ack, 1992 Volvo 940 GL) To be exact, when I was looking for my OTHER car, this car has been in their yard for 1.5 years. Thanks a lot for looking! I hella appreciate it. What was wrong with it exactly? Yeah, I did find it odd that he refused to fix up the pipes UNTIL we purchased it. He also said he'd fix up all the paint issues, interior and any plasticy bits UPON PURCHASE. Thank you for that, I'll keep that in mind. Any idea on how I could go about that easily?
I've seen better Zeds in wreckers yards! That one at Shaw's is a SHITBOX & I doubt that even a wrecker would pay 5k for it. Not enough 'bandwidth' here to explain.... Keep looking ... this forum will look after you
Re: I've seen better Zeds in wreckers yards! I've been in quite a few car clubs for extended periods of time and, I have to say, this is probably the best so far. Within a short period of time in posting this, I received PMs, someone actually looked at the car and it's been nothing but great. I look forward to being here in the time to come ;p Thanks a lot. I'll keep looking for one then ;p
How was the caryard owner ? A bit more civil now that he has over 6 months of holding costs to pay on the car?
Prolly saw my Zed parked down the road .... ... and was too embarassed to leave his office  You gotta see it Mark, by way of comparison, Shaun's Zed is 'as new. No, scrub that ... the front cut at Cresta [back workshop] is in better condition! No reflection on Art, you gotta start looking somewhere, but this is really a 'benchmark' rock bottom. Even with my eyesight
Re: Prolly saw my Zed parked down the road .... Haha, I did test drive it the first time I saw it, it wouldn't even shift into reverse unless I dropped the clutch a few times. The previous owner had replaced the indicators with aftermarket ones, and glued them on with tar. Point taken, I've already started looking at other Zeds ;p
Well I've just got to go look at this now! I'll take the MaZda so he doesn't know I'm familiar with Zeds. Should be interesting to hear what he has to say. And that half cut at the back of Cresta is a mess. This I gotta see!
we pulled the pin on the southport race today ... so ive got some time I might pop down with a camera and have a look at it. shadow
