Oh deer! [Warning - animal lovers DON"T click on the link!] That is NOT nice. Makes you wonder what Ambo's have to clean up after ppl accidents.
Umm, looking at the 5th picture>> Are we sure this is real? If so, there should not be blood on the drivers' seat headrest or the actual backrest of the drivers' seat?? Sorry, I just found that strange... Of course, maybe he "ducked" when he saw the deer coming for him?
Re: Umm, looking at the 5th picture>> To be totally gruesome, that may even be human blood on the drivers seat!!! I've been reading through some old car mags lately, and in a 1992 CAR Australia issue there was an article about Scandinavian road hazards, including deer and moose. Aparently there have been recorded incidences of car occupants actually DROWNING in the intestines/intestinal fluids of animals entering the cabin of the vehicle. Yuk!! Thank God for small furry animals like wombats and wallabies! Doug
and kangaroos, emus, cows and bulls! I hit a cow a few years ago in a Falcon... smashed the windscreen, passenger window, passenger headlight and dented the bonnet and roof... not to mention me trying to control the car and not being able to see at 110kph in pitch black! That was an experience! Didn't kill the cow... it wasn't even anywhere near the road when we went to see how it ended up... Tough bastards! ...then came the 130kms to the next town with one headlight and the constant fear of the car overheating and dying on us!
Rally accident My dad was telling me when he was 19 or so he was an amatuer rally driver in tasmania. One time they were out doing a stretch at night and the navigater got it terribly wrong, told my dad to floor it down a straight which he did thinkin there was and easy slopping turn at the end, in fact there was a T junction. The farm at the T junction had dug a small trench along the road for water drainage... dad hit it in his torana, went airbourne and landed on a cow, the poor thing didnt die and had to be shot by the farmer... needless to say the torana was a write off. Yeah my Grandfather hit a deer in the Grampians in his Camira which needless to say spent a long time in the panel shop and put both occupants in hospital with minor injuries. Then on the last Putty Road Skyline cruise we hit a wombat at about 130km ish in the R32 GTR thankfully I got some warning but the dude behind didnt and his GTST front mount was not so healthy looking after. Ouch and expensive. MattB
what happened to the guy driving. if he survived it would he eat meat after or will he end up vegetarian lol
