THIS HAS BEEN TAKEN FROM THE SILVIAWA / ANTILAG FORUMS. ANY HELP OR DONATIONS GREATLY APPRECIATED After speaking to some of the members of the bigger car clubs in WA, we have decided to hold a Tsunami Relief Fundraising Cruise. Over 120, 000 people have been pronounced dead, with this figure set to rise dramatically over time. Basically, we ask you to come along and donate some money which will be going straight towards helping people who are currently in need. Although this is small scale, it will still help greatly. Every cent really does count in this case. So we ask you to come along and donate some money in exchange for a map. Myself (Alex), Ryan (Jilted - SilviaWA) and Tom (TJ - Antilag) will be collecting the money in exchange for maps. It would also help if you could ask family/friends/people at work to sponsor and help with donations. This cruise is not limited to the clubs mentioned above. We ask people to spread the word and post it anywhere you like. Im not a member of all the forums, so it would be greatly appreciated if you could spread the word. Ok now here is the important bit, ANY HOON ACTIVITY WILL RESULT IN A BEATING. Seriously, there is to be no burnouts, street racing, drifting etc etc. If this happens police will be contacted immediatelly and your plate number will be given to them. Its a serious cause and we dont need anyone fucking it up with their stupidity. If you cant hold out from being a hoon for one day of the year, we simply ask for you not to come along. Police will be contacted before the cruise also. Date: Monday 3rd january (Public Holiday) Time: 6.30pm meet, 7.30pm depart. Meet: Helipad on Riverside Drive
Looked like a good time I wanted to come, but having to work today and everything I just couldn't be bothered. I few nice chicks in those pics too.. Did scotty wearing a pink shirt again. P.S. I gave a wave to Miss E (she's not bad) long ago, but did not get one in return....RESPECT THE ZED! Heard there was a four car prang as well? True?
Couldnt be bothered? For a worthy cause *shakes head* ...it didn't finish late either. Scotty from memory didn't wear a pink shirt! haha If Eloise doesn't know ya, then she generally isn't too friendly! Passenger seat in that car normally has some fine talent in it too! There was; minor fender bender - common huge cruise syndrome - heeaaaaaaaaps of cars, then at the last minute deciding they all need the one lane on the right... traffic very quickly banks up and all the cars behind aren't ready nor are able to stop quick enough to join the queue of cars and therefore try to make one long car! I acutally have a pic of the car worst off there - look for the VL Commodore.
cruise Seemed like a huge turnout although that was my first cruise so i dont have anything to compare to ! I met Franz and BlackIceTT hopefully i'll come on more cruises p.s. i was the one in the red Z cheers. Trent
i've given my donations around the place I wish I'd gone now coz it looked like it was a heap of fun. Don't like the idea of 300 car merging at the same time though. Reading around the other forums, it sounds like there were a couple of close calls. Definitely need to organise a big WA cruise for all the new zedders that have cropped up in the last 2 months. I was thinking a mandurah run > lunch > coastal cruise > country section > home cruise. Might plan for late february.
sounds good My compliance/repairs are meant to be complete in november, then december, now apparently it will be finished this week. At this rate, dunno if I'll have my Zed running nicely by the weekend but wouldn't mind tagging along if someone is willing to take me
