U can never get enough of Fuel Consumption posts can we?

Well instead of discussing what we get, howabout we discuss how to get.

With a TT Zed, what opinions/comments do people have to make in order to achieve a 11.5L/100km (city) economy on their TT.

    In other words, fill up:

    50 Litres = 434 Kms

Thats the target here, so what experiences, suggestions do people have. What sort of O2 sensors work best. Does the Unifilter really have much affect? etc

All opinions welcomed on how to hit the 11.5L target. Nothing is impossible. Some suggestions are:

    1. Editing Fuel Maps in ECU
    2. Replacing O2 Sensors
    3. Unifilter
    4. Cleaning Injectors

Feel free to add your own experiences, opinions about how to clean parts, whats best to use, anything that will achieve optimum results.

Arent we getting a lil tired of the 300km to 50L scene?

Check mikez's post from couple days ago, he cracked some insane figures

something like 10L, and the man reason to the added economy was repairing fuel leaks at the injectors orings etc if i'm right, run a search.

    MikeZ Blingz my thing

Yep 10L per 100km on the highway

    a combo of:
    - fresh O2 sensors
    - no fuel leaks
    - new fuel lines
    - new injector o-rings
    - clean injectors
    - clean pod filter
    - fresh oil

just the way a Zed should be! Now I just need to get my ECU remapped so I can run that way all of the time.

    I just got back from a trip down south;

53 litres saw 550 clicks on the odometer. There was no pussy footing around either, those that are familiar with the highway (Franz, Risk etc) know that when in the dual carriage way sections it's a good time to stretch the legs... and in the sections that consist of two skinny two way traffic lanes it is sometime necessary to blast pass the dude in front .. well it is for me 'cos I don't like to be out in the breeze for any longer than I have to.

My combination, not so fresh plugs (15000 k's), recent engine re-build, (I think the engine has finally loosened up as these are the best figures I've ever had, I'm getting good times too), clean fuel system and good fuel (BP Ultimate), correct tyre pressures, I guess that's about it, everything else stock, except the mufflers:

I was hoping to crack the 600k mark before filling up .. trouble was the gauge was between E and 1/4 and I wasn't sure how far the next fuel stop was, as it turned out I could of pushed it a bit further.
    55 bucks saw 550 k's (actually 549 point something), so I figure it costs me 10 cents a K !
I don't think this was a freak 'os on the way back home from bunbury filled up at the Shell just on the Perth side of town, travelled 184 clicks to home and used a tad over 1/4 tank, consider that I now was using different fuel i.e. Shell Premium.

I'm a firm believer in keeping the basic engineering stock and tweaking a little here and there,I know guys (when we used to play around with Fords) that used to spend truck loads of cash on huge carbs and cams etc for their 351's, I used to drop in a street cam, a correctly sized carb, a sensible inlet manifold to match the carb and my 302 would put some of those boys to shame. The most common problem I found with mates cars were that they over carbed the thing and the jets were way over size, quite often they would try and run too much advance as well. I had a 253 that I tuned, used to knock off 308 Monaro's all the time and my mechanic mates 360 Chrysler .. he wasn't happy

Forgot to mention, around town getting 420-440 k's to 50 - 55 litres NM
