hi guys i've just recently purchased a tt z32 from a guy in rutherford for $2000... a price i paid with a large smile on my face considering it is immaculate!!!!but there is one problem...the guy took it of the road as it was blowing smoke...started pulling it apart and gave up...now i've put it together after the guy had it sitting for 2 years it had no fuel..i fuelled her up charged the battery and all she does is turn over...i still think i got out of it pretty cheap considering i could still pick up a half cut for around 2500...can you guys recomend any places in the newcastle area that would have half an idea as to where to go...my father met a few of you guys at freemans water hole today and someone told him not to go to nissan....please help....
hey kliff... I own a zed in newcastle too blue with HY TEK number plates. If you want to travel to sydney to get work done, i'd highly recommend unique autosports (www.nismo.com.au), if you want to stay in newcastle...turbo technics can do the work you want but be careful as they tend to try and rort you by saying things are broken when they're not. other then that there's really no-where in newcastle to take her that won't try and rob u... I'd check the PTU... and all associated plugs. This is after checking all other obvious things like are there spark plugs, are all the coil pack plugs on etc!
Kliff Sounds like the buy of a lifetime. Absolute worst case scenario. new engine $13K. still a cheap car, but it won't cost you that much to get it going. Another good Zed bloke, again in Sydney, unfortunately, is Mark Chapman. 96345399. We had our 100k service done by him earlier this year. Knows his stuff and a fair price. I'd be checking the usual stuff first like spark, fuel, timing etc. If its been sitting that long it might be an idea to get the injectors cleaned first up. Maybe they have gummed up. By the way we live at Abermain, my wife works at the vineyards. you might have seen her Zed around Cessnock. red 2+2, Fre00z plates. (she thought that plate up. its quite subtle) Keep us posted on your progress. one last thing, how did you get onto the car? regards bollie7
thanks bollieT yeah man ive seen your car around town hey..you should drop round my place and check it out cause i really dont know anyone else local with a phat ZED. theres a plug on the right hand side of the engine that seems too not go to anything i have spark and fuel pressure but the guy took it apart and had no idea on how to put it back together...if ya ever get a chance gimme a call or send a txt message to me oon 0423751829..thanks again man some people just really dont understand how good of condition it is for how much i paid for it till they see it..i found the car through a guy i worked with his mate had the car in his shed for 2 years and couldnt be bothered fixin it when i found out how much he wanted i nearly passed out...i snatched it up quick smart..
read here guys i need help yeah man i got fuel pressure and i checked one spark plug and i had good spark so other than that guys im clueless. the spark plug wasnt wet after turnin it over either though i dont know if it should be or not i dont know HELP!
Check ECU 1. You do have one? behind pass. foot rest? 2. Is ECU showing any fault codes? 3. All loom connections from ECU to engine clean & tight. No go? I'll give you $3k for it as is where is.
