wow thats fantastic obviously put a lot of work into it. Wonder why he has that metal cover at the back under the windscreen. Im guessing maybe they didnt paint that far?
WOW....any more piccies?....... Hi Rob, I was speaking to Mark on Sunday's tech day re: a place to get some spareparts, but, i 've forgotten his nickname. Do you know the name of the place or can you give me Mark's login name. Thanks, Roman
Roman, if I'm the Mark you're referring to it's http://ttzed.com in Vic Also try http://300ZX.com.au in NSW. Both have a solid repulation on the forum. For 2nd hand spares here in Bris, try Cresta wreckers in capalaba on 3245 1555- ask for carlo...
BULL'S EYE! thanks Mark, Cresta is the one I was after. By the way, thanks for all the help at the tech day it was awesome. With the little work that we did in my z it already feels and sound better. Wouldn't have been so if it wasn't for all of you guys.Cheers!!
More pics of Aaron's (NZ$50k) Zed Nice sound system! No wonder NZedders use MOTUL. One for Zisluv ... a BLOCK - upside down. And these are HEADS - also upside down. And lastly ... I'm starting to feel homesick!
That Z was 'GOD' of Autosalon in NZ I have a big write-up about it in one of my mags, nice car, 20 inch rims
he still has rusty brown throttle return springs Not my cup of tea with the glitter paint and the alloy sheet at the back to hide the wiring and crap at the back, but each to their own.
It was on 18 inch wheel when the photo was taken. First Write up (in order of time) : Show n Shine : I woke up that day about 5 in the morning to check up on my zed, topped up the brake fluid and check the oil and coolant, etc. Went to the petrol station to fill up with Synergy 8000, unfortunately the digital tyre pump machine was broken, so I just simply went straight to pick up Paulwood as I was a little pushed for time, or so I thought anyway. We went to the Kaukapakapa hotel from Paulwood's house. Along the way, we were followed by an aggresive Diamante driver. Just as I pulled out to overtake the car in front of me, the Diamante driver pulled right behind me real hard, so being the safe driver that I am, I pulled back into the lane and once he passed me and the car in front of me, I pulled out again to overtake and followed him. I went to redline in 4th gear and still can't catch him and decided to give it a rest, some people have a death wish, maybe he knows the area better than me. That's the first time anything other than a turbo zed overtook me (Actually, I let him to). Of course I was doing safe-driving all the way to the Kaukapakapa (K3) hotel. I don't know why the guys call it K4 when there's only 3 Ks, maybe there's a Maori way to pronounce it. Apparently K3 means "A bloody good place to drink". When we came to the hotel, we were met by 2 red zeds already parked on the grass, so I immediately parked next to them, after a struggle with traction on the grass. We then met with ZCarJase who's the organizer for the event along with ZXWing who's a Star Wars fan to check up on the property and what's going to happen. At this point I was filling up the form for the Show n Shine, which includes my name, my car's mods and length of ownership for people's information and for the judges to see. Eventually RUBBER and Z FOR 2 turned up, with Z FOR 2 already drunk from the night before. He immediately fleeced me to buy his Number plate (Z FOR 2) being a salesman that he is. He sold his zed for "Holden for 5" and left with the number plate. You know something's wrong when someone sold a zed for a boat. After some chat, the rest of the group started turning up and there's a riced-up boyracer zed in the group as well, just to be different. Immediately, ZCarJase organize for the non-red zed to be parked behind the red ones, as you can see in the picture. The owners of the non-red zeds complained of his segregation and discriminative action. When the Bombay crew turned up, they brought video camera with them and filmed the group turning up one by one. I knew I should have been in that group. We then all re-arrange the parking to the side with the red ones still in front. Again I struggled with traction, especially on reverse, I had to go around to park it properly and I decided to have some fun on the grass as well which of course resulted in the bottom of my car being covered by grass. BRNGIT the beautiful beast zed that it is, eventually turned up and became the focus of everyone's attention. If I had the money, I know what I'd spend it on too. At this stage everyone sat around the bar and hade a bite and drinks while the judges checked up on each car. Even if we don't enter the car on the show n shine, if your zed is in the vicinity, they'll judge it. I got penalized for the grass and for the seat cover, which I didn't even know was illegal. They also judged the oil condition, coolant, and radiator cap, spoiler, etc. Results will be published later on at midnight and prizes will be awarded courtesy of TECHNCAR. The judges are Aaron Panapa, owner of BRNGIT, who's quite a big guy, so who's to argue with him, Harvey, the Zed Mechanic of TechnCar that sponsors the event, And ZXWing who's eager to give away points  except that Harvey kept telling him to give my car lower marks . After all is said and done, we all went to the scavenger hunt event and this will be in the next write up if anyone is interested. Items to collect include pictures of self with a goat/sheep and dog poo, pounds of flesh, cleavage, etc.
they annoy me on every polish plenum >> criminal to have a nicely polish plenum and then some rusty crappola throttle return springs. Attention to detail is a curse sometimes
