I have been thinking lately on how the price of our Prized posessions has dropped from original sale of $60K down to this pitiful $13K mark. In theory prices drop due to the fact people just want to sell their vehicles quickly. In order to sell quicker our prices drop. So what if we were to be patient with our prices. If we all raise the price of our ZEDS to around 20 thousand and upwards. People would have no choice except to purchase at that price. It would mean that we will be waiting for a while to sell our beloved machines. But honestly this can't be all bad now can it??? Let me know what you think I Suggest we raise the price and make the true Zed Lovers pay the "right" Price. But it's just a theory for now.. Cheers for now. Fate...
Its all about demand.... and demand is affected by the general reputation of the vehicle. Unfortuneatly the zed gets a bad rap by lazy mechanics, magazines (such as HPI or high performance skylines) and word of mouth. Also it didnt star in Fast and Furious so why buy a zed when you can be cool and drive a skyline or some other rice car?? So the demand is low, so the prices have to be low. If people were buying zeds left right and centre, then the prices would be much higher. Also, now that you can bring a zed in for about $8000 under the 15yr old rule isnt helping either. Why pay $17000 when you can get one for $8000?? Granted, I think a lot of the 15yr old ones imported for $8000 would have some probs, but for someone who is willing to throw money at the car, its not a bad deal. Cheers

I can't think of a worse car movie to have the Z associated with.... except maybe the 2nd film which I couldn't bring myself to see after the agony of the first. Lets face it, the Z is a car that needs to be looked after. Some people just want the look without the commitment. It's the reason that new cars have 5 year 150,000 km warranties....deep down most car owners are lazy. Oh well, it keeps a lot of spankers out of the Z.
ZED MOVIE ANYONE??? Whats say we all get together and make the best 300zx Movie ever made. This way we can have everyone dreaming of z's and drooling over them as if people dont' already. They will happily pay up to $30 Grand for our Beloved Machines. I Could do with that sort of cash for my Zed after spending what i have on it. Cheers. Fate...
lol, leave Fatf 1 alone 2 you can pick on cause the supra crashed I have been going on about the dimishing price of the Z for some time now (im not going through it again) yes its a shame, but most here dont seem to care, the spirit of Z ownership seems to be strong, no matter what the initial price of the car. But the movie certainly diddent damage the supras reputation :thumbsup: the supra definatly draws a load more attention than the Z, again because of said movie I think, but most supra people hate the movie just as much as you guys

heheh we went through it a bit back The kit is $12,000 for 8 pieces of fibreglass :LOL: but I needed it to keep up with the Z for looks :LOL:, hmm I posted pics of it too, not too exciting looking at the moment, its a big card board box taking over my kitchen :LOL::LOL::LOL:
all this money you've wasted on a supra and you could have had the zed engine rebuilt for the same cost. I think you secretly like the pimp daddy look of the supra.
I wouldn't complain about owner either car.... If someone put both in front of me and said pick one, even though I have owned the zed, I would have to flip a coin. Apart from the zed, the supra and the R34 are the only imports that come close in my mind.
