How about this for bad luck after having both turbos rebuilt by MTQ engine systems formerly DTS in adelaide 9 thousand kays later one sparkling zed becomes a smoke machine.Whats strange is that smoke only comes from the right hand side of the car and i also looked inside the plenum and it looks like both turbo's were fuming e.g. oil in the plenum. Thank god its not the motor as my comp test came to an average of 160.
Sure you've not got a too high oil level? Well known problem is getting oil sucked into the PCV circuit at high revs when cornering hard right. Compression rings could be in great condition if theres lotsa oil in there too, but that does not mean the oil rings arent buggered.
I get smoke from the right hand bank as well... nothing from the left and only after its been driven fairly hard. Also the mechanic overfilled my oil, so its going to be burning it off for a while yet. I don't think its a problem for me anyway, just usually too high oil levels.
blown turbo i thought i though i blew my turbo(s)cause it was loosing power using oil,oil was all through my intake system(plenum,piping coolers)but turned out to be my block was badly scored.but finally got another motor in just tryin to sort out the missing...if your chasing 1 i mite be able to help depending on the AR ratio etc...mild_to_wild@hotmail.com chris:thumbsup:
I dont think its the oil I checked my oil levels and they were spot on as i had just changed it the week before and it only does it above 3000 rev's when my turbo's spool up. i am just really praying that it's not the motor as it cost me 3k 7 months ago to get a second hand motor hmm i guess i will have to take it to my mech and get it checked out
