While having a quick check over things today found my radiator was down 1.5 litres of water yet the temp gauge showed no signs of getting hot. The gauge was around the half way mark. Problem is no signs of water leaks and the oil looks fine , where has all this water gone?? Any suggestions? Hopefully can pressure test system sometime this week

Drive it as little as you can..

chances are the water is leaking out and evaporating. The stock coolant temp gauge is VERY inaccurate, don't trust it at all. 1.5 L is a lot to lose so it definitely needs checking straight away. Have a bit of a look over the heater hoses at the back of the engine and any others you can have something of a look at. Could also be any one of a number of other things: water pump (how long since 100k service done??), small bypass hoses at front of engine (again, 100k items), radiator hoses etc, etc.

    100,000 not done yet

Im in the process of getting the gear for the 100 service, its only done 88,000 but i only bought it 3 weeks ago so i wanted to do it early incase the k's arent right. Cant seem to see any water under car but i will have a better look during the week.

    that's probly the problem then

The water pump is especially renowned for its ability to give up the ghost pretty quickly. I would say if you have the 100k service in the works then it would be a very good time to get to it. Maybe have it pressure tested anyway, in case it's something under the plenum or a heater hose etc.

    Radiator

Finally seen a leak today roughly under left headlight so i thought maybe overflow tank but further checking and moving things it seems near the top tank looks like 2 cores of the radiator are leaking, removed it and getting it pressure checked and flush tomorrow, and maybe repaired if that is the leak

    cracks

Look for small cracks on your plastic radiator tanks that surround the core too.. It's as if they designed them specifically to crack. The plastic on mine broke slightly, and I didn't notice and got home one day and noticed smoke coming from the engine bay!!! This is a month after I got it serviced by Nissan :x Oh, and the dash gauge was reading normal.. pfftt
