Headers.

Just got offered some brand new 304 stainless steel headers for Z32 at silly prices. (about $400AUD including freight)
Anyone know of any fitting problems with headers for US cars?

I was thinking similar as the US drivers-side is a bit more compact.
Ohhh well... NA's have enough power I guess.
Might see if he'll do me a real cheap test unit to fit.

But...

...can you see any reason why they'd be an issue on right hand drive?
No cats is a bummer, but looks like they have pipes for AIV's as a bonus.
I reckon I can get these for under $400 including freight. (and freight will be $100AUS+)

Coming from the USA...

...gimme a lil while to haggle a real good price and check whether they can be sent USPS.
Not worth it if they have to come Fedex as it's just way to expensive and will surely get pinged duty.

Might not fit

I was informed by a local exhaust place that headers from the US don't fit as the steering bits are on the opposite side so they interfere with each other.
But at $400.00 its worth a bit more investigation.

 

What about the dumps only?

Leave out the test pipes (the bits without CATS)?I'm only interested in the dumps. I've got custom dump pipe back 2.5inch system.I can't see any LHD/RHD issues. There is a nice pic of drivers side dump on a well know Aus web site. I believe the starter motor is on the same side so should be no problem.

...I think the headers will surely clash.

 

I asked this first....

...but he can only get them with the mid pipes.
Other problem is $195USD for Fedex or UPS. just too big for USPS.
If I can get them cheap enough, might be worth tossing the mid pipe and sending USPS.

or even flog the mid pipes off in US to cover shipping of dumps via USPS? But that'd probably get too complicated.Get mid pipes cut in half for shipping? We'd need to fit cats to them anyway. Probably end up with dumps cut in half too8(
