Friend with a Skyline wants a set of those Midori type adjustable upper arms I organised. Pretty sure they fit but is anyone certain if they do? Thanks in advance,
Hi Paul, I think they have a differant >>>>> offset or something. John at UAS once had a pic comparing them. He would be the man to talk to. Ours look great dont they ;almost a shame to hide them in the suspension area.:YD :-Z
Remember something like that... ...but was pretty sure they'd work. Yes, they're excellent. Look very trick and also look to be very well constructed. Nah, it's a good thing they're hidden. I have enough rice in my diet. Cheers,
Hey Egg >>> Were you able to get an answer about red or gold anodizing instead of green or blue. I have a set of coilovers on the way (see below), would be great to continue the theme. Have also decided to order their tension rods. If you place another order for upper arms, could you let me know up front as I am keen. [image]http://www.nakabc.co.jp/racing-gear/vstage-c2.jpg[/image] As far as the Skyline vs Z32 arms go, my dodgy memory tells me that someone organized a buy for one that could be rotated 180° and used on both, allowing for the offset on the Skyline. Pics below of the UAS arms show a clear difference between Skyline (top) and Z32 (bottom) [image]http://www.uniqueautosports.com/pricelists/General/Universal%20parts/ctrlarmslt.jpg[/image] [image]http://www.uniqueautosports.com/pricelists/General/300ZX%20parts/dlcontrolarms.jpg[/image]
I did ask... ...it was no go. It's only the collar that's coloured anyways, woudn't see the colour on the bearing caps. Could get them HPC coated any colour you like or paint em. I've got a spare set of upper arms and tension rods so just let me know, Mike. Thanks for the info, these can be spun 180 degrees no probs so can't see why Skylines would be a prob. Think it's the Stillen and Noltec type that wont work on Skylines. Cheers,
Those shocks look nice. I have been trying>> to work out what shocks/springs to buy, with cost considerations versus quality/performance. I am stumped. What are the ones you are getting and if you can say the price, most appreciated.8-}
Coilovers are made by Racing Gear >>> they have an agent in WA (C-Red), but don't list Z32 as a stock item. My units are 2nd hand and coming in one of Blipman's great big Santa sacks :YD :YD :YD. These units will cost about half what a new set of JTC N1's are listed for on C-Red's website. At the bottom of that link page you will see the tension rods I will be ordering from C-Red.
Egg, will email you later >>> tonight or over the weekend. Won't need tension rods but do want adjustable uppers.Cheers, Mike.
The Midoris have an offset centre, and the whole reason is so that simply by rotating one end 180 degrees, they go from fitting a Zed to fitting a Skyline. I haven't got the exact measurements handy, but if the arms you're getting are offset centre, it's pretty much a sure bet that they will suit both. There's no other reason to offest the centres.Dangerous (masquerading as Trouble :-0 )
Ring UAS >> they sell an exact likeness that several people are using & are very happy with.:YD From memory, cost about $500. Not that much when you consider the cost of replacing tyres after every 10,000k's or there abouts. Cheers Kerry
Yup... ...knew there was something to keep in mind for switching them. These are fine for Skyline too I believe. [image]http://www.mustangmods.com/data/1552/dsc00012.jpg[/image]
